The key is finding WHICH 2 or 3 solar companies to invest in.

When I did well in 1998, I had a chart of 32 companies to choose from, I narrowed it down to 8, I invested in those 8 - one of them a higher percentage than the others - and a year later, 7 of my 8 were in the top 8 of those 32 for my ROI, the one I 'missed' on was 12th.

That was then, situations are much different now, I don't know if I can replicate that much of a gain again.

In GA during the early '80's 18 could purchase alcohol. We were one of the last states to change to 21, and even then we used a graduated system. Maybe things were simplier then.

The main reason is as fossil fuels are phased out solar energy will eventually inhance many existing energy sources.

I did 'really well' in the span of one year, playing one particular sector in the stock market, but it was still speculation, I didn't put ALL of my money in that one sector, if I had, I would have been retired after that one year. But nothing is 'for sure', so I never put all of my dollars in one basket. George Soros I am not.

Most can do what I did, it just takes a few brains and concentration on what you are looking at/for, and like most everything else, a bit of luck.... [ More ]

pumpi the lottery will probably never allow minors to play the lottery. there are many productive ways teenagers can be taught to earn millions without playing the lottery.

There are millions of things that haven't been invented yet. And there are hundreds if not thousands of teenagers whom are involved in programs. That teach being successful is much more rewarding than having untold millions. If you become successful at what you do then the money will follow.

There was a movie- and I can't think of the name. It was a similar setting, but this person with power abused his gift instead of helping humanity. But the ending was just as good, because it reminded me of a twilight zone episode.

I'm not about to get into a religious discussion, but I can tell you I realized long ago people are different, totally different, and people don't change, as much as you like to think (and they like to think) they can or do.

That said, you accept people for what they are, and you deal with them in however manner you like, but you cannot even think about trying to change them, that won't be good for either side. I speak of people 18 and older.

Bravo! I couldn't have said it any better.

I think one of the reasons why the elderly win more often is because the last thing on most teenagers' minds is to go out and spend their measley payday check on lottery tickets. They're more interested in buying the latest clothing line, buying extras for their cars,(mostly guys), to impress their girlfriends...etc...

Most of the teenagers I have spoken with don't have a clue to how the lottery even works.

I know this is about teenagers right to gamble,, but the comment about sending an 18 year old to Iraq, if I'm not mistaken the military is voluntary,, they choose to serve, or fight for our country, so we can enjoy the freedom we do have... my son is leaving for Iraq very soon and I must say that I am proud of him to think we are worth fighting for....

Again, SORRY, I admitted I made an error.

I'm all for a ban on automatic weapons, or weapons that can easily be made into automatic weapons. But I'm also all for keeping criminals behind bars and not letting multiple felons of violent crimes back out on the streets, and I continuously wonder why people with 3+ DUI's get off with almost no penalty. What, 7 days in jail maybe, license suspension for 6 months-2 years - and it doesn't stop them from driving ?

Because I took 'DIScourage' to mean something like what happened with cigarette ads - ban them from TV and people will stop smoking. Hasn't happened.

Ban Lottery and Casino ads is one way I would view as a discouragement.... but that's probably just me. Maybe I read too much into it.

We tell our kids every day to do something - or not to do something, and then WE go do the opposite - whatever 'it' is.

In any language a 12 year old is a pre teen and any person whom is 13 thru 19 is a teenager simple as that.

In this country USA they lowered the age of consent to 18 for the draft back in the 60's so they could recruit solders to fight in Vietnam.

No adolescent should be allowed to play the lottery. Until they reach the age of consent.

Pumpi, no matter where one lives or what language one speaks, a 20 year old is not a teenager. Also, an 18 year old is certainly not on the same maturity level as a 12 or 13 year old. In fact, 18 year olds are currently fighting in Iraq. If they're old enough to die for their country, they're old enough to buy lottery tickets.

If they can to go Iraq and get shot at when they are 18, then why the heck not let them play Lottery or go to a Casino ?

I just find so many things hypocritical these days: 16 to drive (14 if you live on a farm), 18 to vote, 18 to go to war, 19 (or 1 year removed from HS) to play in the NBA, 21 to drink, 21 to go to a Casino, 25 to rent a car..... any others

In my country of origin a teenager stops beign a teenager at the age of 18, after 18 he/she becomes an adult and no longer a teenager..to me 18 is not a teen but an adult..And i didn't say an adult i say a teenager 12/13 to 18, that's the age i meant..And if you don't agree with me what can i say some people are righties others are lefties..

Shouldn't teens be allowed to play Pick 3 and Pick 4, since they take away the least money from the player? They return 50%. Most lotteries return around 50%, but it's not 50% to all players...some people (jackpot winners) get a lot more of that 50%.
