I know what you mean. I play mainly doubles and I used to play .50 staight. I'de play a number like 998 and 989 .50 straight and it would fall 899. I soon learned to play super straight(covers all ways straight) or play str/bx.

When playing quads or triples, in my opinion, you should play them all(000-999). I would hate to play 555 and it falls 444
