What gets me, is he gets a check for 80 freakin million bucks, is he going to put it in his basic checking account? Can you imagine the crooked accountants and lawyers, are going to be all over this guy. If this is the first decision this guy makes with his winnings, god help him. To be that lucky and to muck it up from the get go. Definately not an LP member.

The time to get advice is BEFORE you hand that ticket over.

If I haven't learned anything in my 3 plus years here on the post, I have learned to be smart and assemble a financial team and by all means do not give away more in taxes than is absolutely necessary...

I know he was / is excited. Heck, we all would be...

But be smart........ Geez.....

He was probably just excited and didn't know any better. I am sure someone will give him some good advice. Not many people no what to do if they would win a jackpot. Congrats to him. I wish it were me but hey, someone had to win it.

Unbelieveable. The ink didn't even dry on the dam ticket before he made the 2 hour drive from Dalton to the ATL.

No tax attorney + no financial advisor = No freaking sense.

I bet he will lose literally millions in taxes by not playing it cool....

This makes 2 in a row from GA that hit the MM and drove to the HQ immediately. Heck, the last one drove to the ATL on SUNDAY for crimonys sakes..
