My friend at the store just called me and said that he had the $1 million winners and the $50 thousand winners show up on the lottery computer. I will be going to the store but don't think I will be back around my computer to post them. Just wanted to let everyone know so that you can go to your store and see.

ha ha we think too much alike spy because i knew if they were still selling today i would buy one but they sold out last night i saw it on LP and then i saw it on the website so when i went to the gas station today i got my tn lotto5 tickets instead for tonights 400K drawing. i decided to fill up my tank today since alot of people wont get gas tomorrow i decided i will join them and not go for gas tomorrow and see what happens...

I recommended 30 singles... that way if the man won several of the $500 prizes he could collect at stores instead of going to central office..

You could get 5 on one ticket.. but that would be a risk of paying unnecessary taxes if you hit two of the lowest prizes..

The boss is great.. She has been adding one to our checks each week and gave us one for the holidays.

We got on for Easter too... Nice little EGG if it hits...

Of course whatever I win with a ticket she bought will be spli... [ More ]

but

Don't look at it that way.

You might buy more tickets to replace the stolen ones.

what if one of the replacement tickets is a winner?

It could turn out that your daughter would not have won anything with the ones the thief stole.

This could be a trigger to buying a winning ticket.

just another way looking at it.

Our boss punched in for it to print 6 single tickets.. Hopefully her tickets were numbers in between our numbers... At least we will know the number of her tickets..

thats terrible news tntea im sorry to hear that. for it to be stolen on Easter makes it even sadder. did your daughter sign them? i try to sign my tickets soon after i buy them so even if i lose them or they are stolen i know that no one else can claim them but me.

My daughter's billfold was stolen on Easter Sunday. She had three of the TNm$m tickets in that she received from our boss with her pay check.

Those tickets are now trashed.. and knowing our luck one will be a winner ...

I'm just guessing, but it might have to do with higher income in GA and FL. I don't know the average state income in TN, but when I lived in FL and GA the income rate there was much higher than here. Use to, we could boast a cheaper cost of living to go with those cheaper incomes. But now, the cost of living here is just as high, if not higher, than those states....depending on where you are.

I'm shocked to see GA and FL do so well and see TN flop. In GA and FL the tickets cost $20 and in TN only $10. I'm so surprised. But yeah if the 800,000 tickets aren't sold it doesn't hurt me any.

if they only sale 500K then that means a 1 in 125K chance of being a millionaire so you are right its better on our odds if they dont hit the 800K mark...

I was almost thinking, that if they're going to draw regardless, of tickets sold, (say if they only sell 500,000).....

thats the less tickets we have to worry about, and the better chances of someone winning... there wont be 800,000 tickets to worry about.

wow i have to admit im surprised that the tennessee lottery will cover all prizes even if they dont sell all 800,000 tickets. that is great news because i was worried they would decrease how many prizes they give out because right now they are giving out 106 total prizes so i wouldnt want that number to go down especially the 4 million dollar prizes...

I bought one yesterday (04/16/07) and it was just above 480000

I would have thought that these tickets would have sold faster than this.

I asked TN lottery about the drawing and they said

A little over half of the 800,000 tickets have sold as of 4/3/07. The drawing will occur on May 14 and all prizes will be awarded regardless of ticket sales. Good luck!

Has anyone bought a ticket lately and if so what was the number up to? You don't have to post the exact number just an estimate. The last number that I heard was around 280,000.
