It's easy to assume that eventually any 3 digit number will come out and even after it fails 200 or 300 straight draws, it can still be profitable until the 500th draw. Most people don't want to wait that long and wouldn't give much credibility to a system that predicts that a number should come out within the next 300 draws. In Ohio, 023 hasn't been seen since January 7, 1984 (over 9500 draws) so the timing there would be when to begin playing it or when to stop.

The same can be said about... [ More ]

RNGs that some drawings use are possibly based on White Noise as is the RNG in the Lottery Terminal used for QP. A sample of the volume (or whatever) of the noise is taken at the instant a button is pressed and a microscopic deviation in that timing will mean a very different numbe... [ More ]

For example if I had this poll:

What is 2 + 2?

A. 4

B. 10000000000

There's always people that vote for the wrong or over-excessive answer.

Yes it is real, when you talk about accuracy, yes it is. However, now that you stated the correct single 3 digit (or 4 digit) it now becomes a question of precision not accuracy. The word 'single' implies 'exact' and exactness is a level of precision.

Your original question should have been more to the tune of: Is it practical to be 100% accurate all the time? In that case, no it would not be practical, because you would have to cover all possible combinations.

We need to differentiate between accuracy and precision. Accuracy is the degree of a correct matching combination within a finite random selection.
