Hi paurths the rules are if there is a number in between two of the digits that is the key number in the tweener. If there is not the actual digits have to be used. for example:

156

26

377

the 2 and 6 are the key digits .The 6 and 7 have to be used to complete a 3digit number because there is nothing btween them. Tweener=266 and 267

It looks like just an average.

In an Excel spreadsheet, you would put the 267 in cell A1, the 249 in cell B1, and in cell C1 you would type =(A1+B1)/2 and press Enter. There is also a built-in Excel function, I think it's called AVG().

I need a program that can take two numbers and find the tweener number. For example:

267

58

249

The tweener number is 258.

025

3

046

the tweener numbers are 035 and 036. It's easy todo with paper and pencil for a few numbers but i need a program that could compare 1 number to 30 numbers and find the tweener. If you can help ,I can tell you how it can be useful.
