I have people buying me PB , cash 4, cash 3 all the time.. I get their name and # in the event that I win some big money... I intend to share the wealth back..

They usually give qp PB tickets... and their favorite Cash 3 Cash 4...

I agree with the concept of giving instant play tickets as gifts . And yes, I really dont want to know the outcome. It does become annoying when the receiver gripes that they didnt get a winner. As if all tickets given as gifts are to be winners? Its called giving someone an *opportunity*, which folks do deserve.

I disagree though on the karma concept. Read up on the Tao and you'll understand that giving without expectations is the true essence to give . Ive seen very good deeds done and... [ More ]

Scrathcers as presents have always made me wonder. All too often they turen put to be losers and perhpas the person would have rather had the cash.

I like giving scratchies away as gifts, I do it mostly for birthdays, but I always tell them to scratch afterwards and not tell me or anyone if they won or not. I prefer not knowing and I don't know why.

This is the way I do it if the clerk is really nice. But as far as giving away possible multi-million dollar tickets away to total strangers for nothing in return? Nah, i'll pass. If I gave away the winning ticket, I don't know how I would handle that. That would REALLy be one of those trying times.

I don't know why, but I never really thought of a store clerk the same way as I thought as a dealer when I used to go to casinos. Interesting.

I've played numbers for dealers, but I usually spent some time at the table. When I go to a supermarket I just hand the person my card and walk away, and it's usually very crowded. However, if someone is particularly helpful or friendly, I think I'd reward him/her if I won some money.

I've bought PB tickets for friends when the jackpot was big enough for me to drive out of state to play. They would sadly tell me if I had some extra money I would have you pick-up some tickets for me too so I would say fill out a play slip or do you want some QP's, I have some extra money but if you win you'll have to share with me. Does that count?

We never won anything and now I don't drive out of state for tickets or if I do I don't talk about it.

Many, many times I've played a MM or PB ticket and then played it again for the clerk ( I figure it's like betting for the dealer in a casino) and said this is for you, might help to have someone else rooting for the same numbers.

One time it hit 4 on PB for $110, that was a nice tip I guess (but certainly not a jackpot).

I usually do this on the road, and not at places I play all the time- otherwise they'll expect it and you'd have to double your lotto 'budget'.

I don't think you can mail lottery tickets, but maybe that's only across state lines. I agree with RJOh since it would be better to donate the money to a local food bank or animal shelter, so you know you are truly helping people. (animals are people too)

Now you really have to be unselfish to give away Millions to a total stranger with no strings!!!

I would suggest giving them a dollar to buy a lottery ticket so they could chose a QP or some personal numbers, I know I would prefer to pick my own numbers.

They would have to be the type of person who could be trusted to buy a lottery ticket if they had an extra dollar.

Do you buy QPs or pick the combinations yourself? I would prefer anyone giving me a free chance at winning a lottery just give me the dollar and let me pick my own numbers. Just a suggestion in case our path ever cross.

A PB or MM lottery ticket only cost a dollar and buying 10 of them and giving them away only cost $10. People who go to church every week probably put that much or more in their church collections, where do they get their reward? The reward for them is the ability to give.
