On a $5 ticket you have 25 white balls available, if you play 25 DIFFERENT white balls then each ball drawn has around a 50-50 shot of being in your selections (sans systemized picks which could go higher). A group of scientists did something like this for 8 years then finally won a jackpot around 9MILL. Rule out a sheet of paper and write all the #s in the boxes, then draw 25 them from a box one at a time and (if you want to) arrange them in groups of 5 so they're more balanced or just draw 5 a... [ More ]

While I can't suggest any particular system that will improve your odds of winning with a $5 ticket, I can suggest you read the posts of other LP members who are on a similar budget to see what they're doing successfully. Most players who play MegaMillions on a budget of $5 or less just want to be in the game and get lucky at best.

You might want to test/experiment with playing more less often, for example playing 20 lines every fourth drawing. Your first objective should be to beat the ove... [ More ]

There are 56 numbers in the Mega Millions matrix so at the minimum you would have to play at least 11 sets of numbers before you are guaranteed to hit one number (56 divided by 5). If you used a system to play 50 numbers in 10 sets and none of them hit, I would suggest next time playing the numbers the system doesn't pick. Buying 12 QPs you expect to have each number once but you'll probably notice that some of the numbers appear 2 or 3 times so you still don't have every number.

When you get... [ More ]

If you need to play a limited amount of money, that is , you have a small bankroll, you will need to pick your numbers carefully. Look at selecting 2 or 3 key numbers and STICK WITH THEM no matter what. If your key numbers come in, you will be rewarded. When I pick my keys, I like to look at recent activity (last 15 draws) and not so recent activity (last 200 draws). If you look at the last 200 draws in Mega Millions, you will find that 5, 7, 12, 13, 25, 31, 36, 46, 52 and 53 have come out A LOT... [ More ]

The way I see it, it's not a matter of increasing your odds of hitting. It's a matter of decreasing the odds against you. The odds will always be in the favor of the lottery itself. No different than in a casino.

And as far as systems go, there are many, many systems here offered by members on LP that are valid systems. Do they hit all the time? No. Do they work for awhile and go cold ? Yes. The nature of the lottery is that there is no one answer for your question. (or if there is s... [ More ]

Hi Everyone

I am a new member, but I have been reading the topics here for about six mounths. I live in Georgia, been playing the Lottery since it started here. I am not a big spender, I play about $5.00 per week. Mostely QP's on the Mega Millions and a few scratch off's now and then. Never won anything over $5 or $6. Here lately I can't even get one number on a $5 QP! I know that 70% play QP's and 70% of the winners are QP's. And I know that there are people that pick there own... [ More ]
