Here's an interesting tidbit regarding the Preakness.

Last 3 years at Pimlico:

3 year olds, Graded Stakes / Handicaps, 9 - 9.5 furlongs, Purse $750,000 -$ 1,015,000

22 races fit the profile.

Favorites have won a whopping 64% of the time with a $2 ROI of + $ 1.11

If you like Street Sense's chances it would be a good bet.

Will Street Sense be our next Triple Crown winner?

I don't think so. Hard Spun figures to control the pace and the race is shorter making a successful late run by Street Sense all the more difficult.

My prediction is that Hard Spun leads wire-to-wire with Street Sense flying down the lane to capture second and Curlin up for the show spot.

I know that uruguayan horse races are being broadcasted in the US, Hipodromo de Maro as, but I would like to know if any of you have in fact watched or bet in any of this races, as now with Invasor's performance I guess betters should have an open eye in this track.

Street Sense is going to need more early kick to win the shorter-distance Preakness. IMHO, Hard Spun ran a better race than Street Sense in the Derby and his early speed will be an advantage at the distance and track.

The Kentucky Derby is in the record books and the only horse with a chance to be the next Triple Crown winner is now Street Sense. Can he do it or will someone else win the Preakness? This was an awesome race.

Street Sense roared from next-to-last in a to win the Kentucky Derby.

Rick Hard Spun led all the way but street sence kept coming wow that was a wild ride.

I really like Cowtown Cat. He can close a ton, has a good post and is trained by Pletcher. The rider, Jara, is a relative unknown, but he knows how to ride. I'll be creating 1$ supers and tri's using Cowtown Cat, Nobiz Like Showbiz, Hard Spun, Circular Quay, Scat Daddy and Curlin. Good Luck

I still like the chances of Nobiz Like Showbiz as he has come through his prep races in good shape. But the Derby often produces some juicy payouts so I'll also be looking for a money horse.
