Interesting you mentioned this because just today I was looking up on the CA lottery site about where all the winners come from, cities,that is. It always seems like they are down south in the LA area and it lists how many jackpot winners came from each store,the highest being 6 jackpot winners in one store! I'm sure this information is available somewhere.

Better yet, what is the strangest place where someone WON a big jackpot? I don't remember ever hearing at a bowling alley, the one I used to go to sold Lottery but the new one doesn't and it's a nuisance because I had to make an extra stop before Bowling. The Illinois lottery sets up a small tent at teh state fair and sells numbers games tickets and scratchers.

The Ohio Lottery had a similar tent set up near the 8th hole at an LPGA golf tourney.

The White Hen Pantry is a chain pf stores, I think they're convenience marts, or a little bigger. They are in the Chicago and Boston areas.

I'm surprised no one has mentioned a bait shop yet.

We have one of those places Justxploring was talkng abpout where people cash checks and pay their utility bills, and exactly the same scenario, within three feet of where they do that is a lottery terminal.

the strangest place i have purchased a lottery ticket is a fireworks warehouse. i cant remember the city but it is the exit after jasper tennessee i think and they thought it was funny that i didnt want any fireworks but i thought it was funny that they sold lottery tickets,ha ha,

The guy that owned the store told me that he had won 10,000 playing pick 3 that year.

Pumpi was just asking on another thread if they sold lottery tickets in grocery stores. Well,here in CA. they do, as I'm sure in most other places. I've seen them in drugstores,gas stations,liquor stores,convienience stores,malls and bowling alleys. I suppose the strangest place that sold tickets was in a pancake house restaurant I went to. Felt funny ordering a ticket with my side of bacon.
