It depends. If I'm going on vacation, I play in advance until I come home. When I visit my family in NC, I play the powerball and try to play at least 4 days in advance since I live in NY.

This summer, I'm visiting NC SC. I will definitely play multi-draws for NC, SC NY.

Always the same day and usually within 1 or 2 hours of the drawing. The only exception is when I want to buy a popular, often sold-out quad

here we can play upto 6 months in advance, but i usually just do 10 weeks in advance, although we have a mega draw every nwew years or closest sat to new year. im thinking of buying quick picks every week for that 1

I pick my numbers on the day I play. I don't like to buy in advance because then you play each draw whether you really want to or not. Playing when I feel confident I have a shot and only then if a few different indicators are there to help direct my picks.

regarding pick3, right now I can pick about 30 days ahead, but only play them each day they are intended for.

I only play jackpot games, and I wait until the jackpot reaches a certain threshold before playing, so I generally only buy for the next drawing. The exception is when I pass through a PB state and the jackpot is enough that I decide to play. Unless the jackpot is very high probability says it will roll, so I'll play a few draws. Pennsylvania is the PB state I'm most likely to be in, and their choices for advance play are 2, 5 or more drawings, so I'll play for 5 draws.

For games in my state, usually drawing by drawing, although from some of the input here at LP I have played a Pick 5 QP for 5 draws.

If we go to Missouri I'll play Powerball for 15 draws, the max advanced ticket

i voted max because i dont travel to the megamillions states that often so i buy megamillions max futures. i dont play future on powerball because i live in a powerball state so i just play before each draw. the only time i buy max futures for powerball is when i go to kentucky...

I always put things off until the last minute including the numbers. Most every day I go and play then 1/2 hour before the draw and hope the machine isnt down. When a machine is down I have to step on the gas and get to another retailer and hope I'm not too late.

i buy my tickets for draw to draw, except if i go out of town and play some other lottery game i may or not buy tickets for future plays.

One several occasions when i have had doctors appointments, or other interferences with my ability to get numbers for the midday or evening draw i buy them the night before the draw.

Always buy my tickets the same day unless I have to leave the area. If we get a report that bad weather is headed our way during hurricane season, sometimes I'll buy my tickets for 2 advance draws, but that's rare.
