What does the odds of winning MM/PB mean to you?

Perhaps you should ask all the jackpot winners so far what the odds mean to them? Absolutely nothing. In fact thriving on the odds will actually attract more bad combinations to you if you believe in the law of attraction. Seems though that most people who win forgot they even played, or misplaced the ticket.

I was cracking up when he said multiply the 2 and the 12 and then said 2 + 12 is 14 . The funniest was his second example after he realized his last number was too high and he drew a line through all the numbers. lol

Yes,Stack I did,haha. I shouldn't have but I just kept cracking up at the way he said the number 13! It's sort of an interesting method,as a matter of fact I am trying to figure out how to use it now for P3.

In answer to the question, I keep matters simple. Odds are 50/50 chance that I'll win. What I win is a matter of the draw. If I dont win, at least there was an attempt taken.

To truly consider the odds I often picture one grain of taupe colored sand being mixed in with a beach off the florida shoreline. One cannot truly find that one grain and do so in the short time frame each week.

When it comes to jp games, the odds mean nothing to me....because you know someone will beat those odds and win the jackpot. That's guaranteed. And each line that's picked has an equal chance of being the line drawn. The only thing you know is that you can't win it if you don't spend at least a buck on it.

I agree with Raven. Luck, luck, and more luck! Maybe there is a pattern to a pick-3 or pick-4 game, but when the odds are over 1 in 100 million, it has to be luck. That being said, maybe just being in the right place at the right time is a better term since obviously Jack Whittaker and other winners haven't been very lucky.

I wrote on another thread today that the current USA population is estimated to be 301 million. So when you think of that, imagine what the odds of a single person... [ More ]

If you have an index program for MegaMillions then you can turn that number between 1 and 175,711,536 into a MegaMillions combination. If it doesn't have the right bonus number there still a 1:45 chance it could match 5+0 for $250K.

With odds of 1 in over 140,000,000 to win Megamillions or Powerball, what does those odds mean to you?

For me, it means

- Whenever I pick numbers that are perfect, they will draw some ugly combinations that makes no sense.

- If I picked my own numbers, it takes weeks to win.

- Winning $100 once in 3 years.
