I don't know how they do it in NY.. But in TN, all children work for the diploma.

We do not sit children out in the hall to color.

However, my children do get second best from the others.

Oh come on....

I am a teacher I have seen classes like that... had classes like that....

just sit in the hall with four of them .... not even scheduled to a classroom (an art class, just sit in the hall draw.... or in the lunchroom... or take them outside)

Moving K-4 special ed kids in the office is quite unusual..

Special belongs in a closet.. not the office..

Usually they get what is left or nothing. Getting the office space would be royalty.

In this dream,

My classroom was moved to the little hall and the young class was moved the junior high hall. It didn't make since to me. The reason given was that I needed more room. Then they moved the younger special ed class to the office. The assistant principal was about to lose it with all the talking going on in the office. I asked if she would like to give up her office for them. She said no.

Three of my students were going out for math and my two assistants and I were going... [ More ]
