Thanks. I'm kind of mad at myself, because before

I started playing 'officially' I would choose numbers

just to see if I came close. But I didn't actually play.

Money was very tight at the time.

Well, wouldn't you know it, I would have won twice

last week. (sigh) So, now I've started playing.

First, Welcome to LP DD,

If the number drawn was 249 and your number was 229 you would not win. Box means you would have to have the numbers drawn in any order, ie. if you played 942 you would have won.

I've just started playing the daily three and I don't fully understand how the 'box' play works. Let's say the winning number is 249. Would I win anything if one of my numbers is 229?
