Well they can certainly say , as in terms of moving their mouth that they think a certain religion is wrong, but they are not in any position of righteousness to say a certain religion is right or wrong. Of course, they will say their religion is right and others are wrong, but that's because that's what they were taught. I see the Bible as nothing more than stories that have been passed on over a long period of time. Over that long period of time, the original story has been skewed because of... [ More ]

The main point of this is that alot of people have big and unreasonable expectations of just what they can and can not do if they won the lottery. Many charities view lottery winners money as their money.

If you get caught in that trap and end up like Jack Whittaker for instance then people will call you a fool and not remember all those Millions you've donated to charity.

If you do want to donate to charities after a big lottery win then be silent about it.

Simply because society demands this type of justification, mostly because they are envious, and pissed that it was not them who won it. So they want you to give it all away. The person who won the lottery never deserves it, they should always be giving it away to someone else more worthy...I will help out who I want, and who I feel needs it most. Not who society thinks I should help, being I was invisible to them before I won.

well actually alot of people can say other's religions are wrong and do.

There is much evidence to prove that most religions are wrong and that they are simplye mythology.

I was born in 1961 and did go to Christian churches alot of my life until I wised up.

Those churches all said gambling was wrong. So I was a little bit surprize to see so many overt Christians giving me and others a lecture on how I should donate to charity on a site that is about gambling.

I find it laughable... [ More ]

Actually tith is more than 10%, 10% is only part of it and it's to be given to the person who instruct you in the ways of God, then there is another 10% that goes to something else. The there is another 30% that you are suppose to save and spend every 3 years on a party or some such thing.

This preacher Dr Gene Scott explains it somewhere on his website. Look him up.

I do not follow organized religion. I think most people blindly follow what their parents were taught. I think everybody should just have their own relationship with God. Believing in The Bible(a book), which is based off organized religion(which is man-made and there are so many of), is pretty much guessing at what the word of God is. Nobody can say who's religion is right or wrong. If God gave his word to the people of the past, then he can certainly give you yourself his word as well.

I can't find it now, but I read a news article about a couple somewhere east of the mississippi - maybe on the eastern seaboard - who won the lottery and tried to tithe to their church. They were denounced as sinners, the tithe was refused, and they were ostracized in their community. Many Christian churches DO believe gambling is a sin. Mormons also believe it's a sin.
