Do I play the lottery for extra income? No not really. It would be nice but I hardly ever win anything. It's more like I use any extra income I might have just to play the lottery...and of course fail misserably.

ya know I love Buskers (what we call street preformers in Canada) and give to them if they are good. They are providing me with an experience that I appreciate. There is this one older Chinese Man who plays the Pipa outside of Northlands after concerts he was there after INXS and recently we saw him at West Edmonton Mall...... really good.

It is nice to win a prize in the lottery or in the casino. But I do not depend on the winnings to get me bye in life. I play my money left over after monthly expenses such as rent, utilities and food. I usually have less than $100 to spend on things that are wants like junk food, movies, lottery and beer. All of my wants fall into this category so I spend less on the lottery now so I can enjoy a cold beer, cold soda, candy bar or a movie rental from time to time.-weshar75

I live in a town small enough that people think they know you if you buy lotteries tickets at the same place they do or where they work.

I had a person show up at my door and ask Do you remember me? I was at ----- when you bought lottery tickets and I really need a favor. I wouldn't ask you unless I really needed it. Could you give me $60 to get my car serviced?

The only entity that depends on any form of gambling for income is the house , be it a bookie, casino, or state lottery.

For a player to think they can depend on any form of gambling as income is nothing other than economic suicide.

Read the subject line again. Now, please tell me how someone can depend on something that is random and unpredictable. That's just setting yourself up for failure. I suppose if you have a really good system with pick 3 and you hit it a lot, you might see a steady flow of wins, but I still wouldn't use the word depend. I really, really want to win something, not just a large jackpot. But I realize it might not happen or, when I do, I will have spent as much as I won.

I follow this simple rule... my WEEKLY lottery budget should not exceed what I earn in one HOUR... I make $16/hr running EDM machines. So I am sticking to it.

I depend on the lottery to keep my excel and visual basic skills sharp... I depend on the powerball as my last beacon of false hope that one day I might possibly have one system work just once and spend the rest of my life doing what I want...

but no, I don't depend on the lottery for extra income. Last year I averaged $4 a week... this year I added more games and still keep spending to $15 a week.

Nope, I live within my means. I make sure my bills are paid and I save a bit before I play the lottery.

However, I make a lot of sacrifices to make sure I'm paying my bills with my regular income. No cable, drive an older car, washing machine that has to be coaxed thru its cycle, etc. I honestly wouldn't be all that unhappy with my lifestyle if I had decent neighbors. I really only play for a chance at hitting a big jackpot to live out dreams that I want to happen sooner than later. Working towards those dreams regardless. I tried the whole gambling thing a pay off bills a couple of times but it never worked. Not with the lottery with Blackjack. But I decieded I don't really like gambling that much to buy into all of that.

I just want to win a big jackpot. Work on my dreams and be done with it. lol
