You said it happened on Independence day and you joined on July 7. Congratulations, but you won and then joined LP, the odds of someone not a LP member winning are better, it happens all the time.

With lotteries typically paying out 50%, we could expect a single $1 million winner for every $2 million spent by members, as long as that $2 million was spent on games that pay only $1 million dollar prizes. It actually happened today!!! Actually it was on Independance day, but I didn't find out about it until this morning. My dad had the ticket and didn' tell me our number until this morning! I still haven't gotten over the disbelief that it actually CAN happen. My dad actually was planning on going to Atlantic City, so that's where he is now. Tomorrow we figure out the next steps

Some one could come to LP and just make a claim of winning a big jackpot to see what would happen.

I can imagine a lot of people getting mad when the person couldn't/wouldn't prove he really won a lottery jackpot by honoring their financial requests. (If you have an e-mail address in your profile and have mentioned you can afford $25 a week to play the lottery then you've probably already hear from them.)

1) What makes you think someone hasn't?

and

2) What makes you think someone would tell on a public forum?

Keep in mind, even if (or when) someone wins, making that public knowledge does nothing more then open themselves up as a target. Be it that of honest real charities seeking financial contribution to do good as well as the dishonest seeking to do nothing more then sink their grubby paws into something that is not their own.

That would be me, I won $367,000,000 Mega millions Jackpot ;) LOL :) .................... Imagine what you could do with all that money. Helping my parents and younger sister is my top priority for sure, my family is the most important thing in my life.

No. A person can't just call an ISP and ask for the personal information of the person using a certain IP. There are legal proceedings that must take place. However, in a lot of cases, you can identify the state and city based off IP. You can go to http://www.ip-adress.com, and enter an ip address, and it will give the state and city of that IP address. i voted today in the poll but i agree with you justx it could have already happened and i originally said i would announce it here if i won but i have seen alot of recent comments about winning and press conferences so now im not sure if i would announce a win on here but maybe someone else feels the same way and doesnt want to read certain comments about them or how they handled the press conference or how they plan to spend their money. they also may keep it a secret from LP because they don... I was just wondering. When I win, and say I'm able to find a way to not have my name released to the press. If I announce it here, would y'all know who I was? Y'all know my state, but nothing else about me that I know of. Is there a way of tracking other than IP? Todd wouldn't give that out, would he? Has this been covered before

Nope, but how about $1 a day? Seriously, I just think it's quite possible that a member of LP has won a jackpot over the past 4 or 5 years. If I won $1,000,000 bucks I might not want to announce it over the internet, especially after I've posted over 2,000 comments. After all, we always talk about how important anonymity is, so why is it so hard to believe that a member here hasn't already won

Judging from the most popular LP posts, players here mostly play Pick3 and Pick4 games and those jackpots don't come close to $1,000,000+. Even the Pick5 jackpots are seldom that big. Maybe the ones playing the large jackpot games post less.

Not anytime soon. My dad know a guy that won $1,000,000 in then $10 scratch off ticket. He only got $700,000. He lucky but he play the lottery really long time. He said he brough the ticket close to his home.
