I think 5 tickets per drawing is fine,specially when you know one banker number.

More tickets may be required to get a small prize without knowing the banker number,but tickets less than 30 are the most I can afford.Otherwise,I keep a prize ratio less than 50%,ha!

3 years ago i spent $120 on sat lotto and one $15,000.have spent $500 on one draw and didnt a penny.still, i have one about $30k in 4 years.luck and intuition.

I used to be a lottery junky...I would play $40-$60 when the jackpot was rolling high. Now that I am traveling so much with my work, I just make sure that I have a play in for the next drawing (preplay). So now I usually just have one dollar per draw working for me. If I happen to be passing through a state where either the next Mega or PB drawing is significant (anything over $50 million annuitized jackpot), I'll buy an extra ticket or three! One day last Oct, I put $64 on my Virginia pick3 pet number. That was the most ever for me on pick3. Turned out that I was one day too soon. But I did hit it the next night for $10K.

Also last Dec as the NC cash5 jackpot rose toward half a mil, I spent $100, 125 135.00 on 3 straight nights. I was hesitant to throw away the previous nights numbers because I was getting really close to hitting.

WE HAD A SLOW LOTTO GAME THSAT THEY DID A PROMOTION FOR, if you bought a 25 game maxi pick, you got an extra entry free thus halving hte cost, ., also there was some car promotion as well, this was every week for a whole month.

well a buddy and i decided we would go haslves and bought like 4 25 game picks in the 1st week, asdn let the winnings roll over every week.

so it was 8 x25 game plays in 1st week, i think we won enough to roll over every week for the month , but by end

Usually I play $2 a drawing under 100 mill prize. for over $100 mill, I spend $3. If the jackpot is way up there and close to a certain record, I will spend $100

I gamble lightly. Most of the fun for me is in selecting my own numbers.

I played Powerball for the last three draws on its big run, spent $2 every time for one line with Powerplay.

I might play up to $5 on tonight's Mega Millions draw.

i will put $10 to $20 on one number in the pick3 to hit exact...on /2/6/07 i hit 119 exact on $20 one dollar tickets with paid $500 each,cashed in 10k ( just got lucky ) on the Powerball i usually spend around $30 twice a week,but so far my top win has been $100...and yes i do use the powerplay

I rarely spend more than $5 at one time now, but I've spent much more. The last time I spent $20 at once was on July 3 when I purchased a raffle ticket.

Ten Oh starts today and just like every other game the Ohio Lottery has tried; I had to be in the first draw so I played 2 sets for the first 2 draws. You can only play one set of numbers on a playslip so people wanting to play multiple sets of their own numbers better get a big stack of playslips. After you chose one set to play, you have the option of playing up to 9 more auto picks on the same ticket and you can play the next 14 draws.

My standard play on Powerball is 10 lines with the powerplay, so $20.00 is my answer.

On Mega Millions, I usually go by jackpot size. On $100 Million or more, $10.00 to $20.00 per draw.

Before I retired I participated in lottery pools that spent $500 or more several times and their winnings weren't impressive. I always thought it was because they had no plan and bought mostly quick-picks until one time they allowed me to pick the numbers, make out the play slips and buy the tickets and did no better.

I did learn several things, picking 500 lines and making out a hundred play slips by hand is a lot of work. Also since I gave every one copies of the tickets before the draw... [ More ]

If I cant get it done without going over 1 hundred then that particular drawing wasnt

for me. Thats why I play the lottery because a hundred bucks is a healthy lottery budget

but gambling on most other games its pretty measly. I know people that go to the

boat/casinos with several hundred bucks regularly and often I think If I played the lottery

that aggresively I would have won BIG by now. (Wishful thinking
