i saw group lotto on a talk show years ago giving away a check for a million dollars but they havent given away a check for that much since so i dont play group lotto anymore i just stick with iwon.com because at least i know they still have winners over there.

GroupLotto is one of the free lotto games that have been around for a number of years. It has vanished and come back a number of times. Prizes are jackpot only where you need all 6 numbers correct in what is really a sweepstakes not a state drawing being followed last time I looked in. They send out a lot of spam some sounding as if you won if you don't read it carefully and the real lotto scammers like to send fake notices of winning in GroupLotto's name so if you play there you need to have... This is the latest thing in spamology. Because of keyword/phrase filters, these folks are now using image files. Also, *pdf *xl (among others) files are being used to push ads. With the image spam, when you open your email, there is a 'hit' on the server where the image is located. This lets them know your account is 'good', and makes your email addy have re-sale value. Hosting the image also makes changing what spam you see as easy as changing one file.

I got this in my e-mail. Has anybody else received this? Anywhere you hold your cursor over the e-mail it is linked, this is very annoying, this type of advertising should be outlawed.

The bottom statement should be of concern to all. I wouldn't respond to this, delete it.
