Become a lottery agent. They advertise like it's a legitimate job oppertunity. They never mention you might be running around breaking local laws and codes, not registered, no business licence, etc. It gets really funny when one of their victims gets into it heavy with paid advertising to the point where they come to the attention of local authorities. When they have to give the money back to their victims the company got 95% and they've got 5% to refund with. BobP

I hope you don't think that free ticket is anything but a marketing tool to get their foot in the door giving them time to convince the taker to join up for real. It's the same reason a pet store gives out free goldfish. Sometimes there is nothing more expensive then something free. BobP

The good is that there is the numbers that their will generate for the mini-syndicates, the other good side is that there is the numbers and combinations that the PLAYERS will generate with their bonus . It would be nice if someone get some hot players (that will toast $$$) ...

The Internet syndicates advertise some players play for free and make money too, so some one has to pay for free tickets and/or share the tickets they buy with those who pay nothing.

In some syndicates, people could choose the numbers.

It would be possible to use 6 combinations of 4 out of 5 numbers, each of them with 7 tickets and 10 numbers. This would cost only $42.00.

4 combinations, 4 if 5 of 11 would generate 40 tickets. 10 tickets for each reduced system. More one 4 if 5 of 9, 3 tickets. This is only 43 tickets, there is space for another ticket with 6 of 6 for a total of just $44.00

This is the best possible way to play if you are running pools for suckers and don't want to be bothered with distributing money for a lot of 3# and 4# wins every draw.

The pyramid scheme could take a 5# wheel and distribute its 5# combinations among the pools to guarantee at least one or more would have a 3# or 4# prize plus the 6th number in every draw, but if they do, they don't mention doing so as part of their strategy .

It could work, but the guarantee is not good enough.

Why not play a 17 numbers Wheel? There is one at Lottery Post that has a guarantee of 3 of 3 with covers 17 numbers!!! This will only cost 44 tickets. If a person could play 17 numbers for $44 or $45 what would be the difference?

Anyway, this should work better for pick 5 or Lotto games that are just $0,50! Imagine getting 88 lines for just $44 bucks ... Sure, some experienced players only recommended 10-12 numbers per system in each dr... [ More ]

Good analysis.

You've shown nicely how these schemes are, on the whole, not good. These use hyped-up language to convince people to join. The ones who are most likely to join are those who aren't seasoned lottery players like yourself.

It's a way to play but you need to match 3 numbers to win more than you spent. By playing the same 5 numbers on 44 tickets, you're only reducing the odds by .95%. I wouldn't call a .03% reduction for matching 4 numbers much of an improvement either.

So if you have 2 of the winning numbers you will win 4 times.

I run a lottery pool in my office. What we do is on payday every 2 weeks, each member(there are 8 right now) puts up $4 and I buy a mix of Powerball and Louisiana Lotto tickets for the 4 drawings that will take place over the next 2 weeks. I buy multidraw tickets so I don't have to keep going back to the store. If we win a big prize, we're going to share equally in it. The most we've won is $9, which I use to buy more tickets, but who knows, we might make it someday.

well the one i am in works like this we are in a group of 25 people we all have the same set of numbers and our numbers are played with every other number in the draw we are in 3 major draws a week, so we are always guarenteed one number from every draw i am in 496 draws per month for minimal cost. and hay if i win the big one i don't mind sharing the wealth thats what lifes about people helping people.

Wasn't there a lotto syndicate many years ago called the Wheel Deal (or something like that) where they divided the numbers in half and bought full wheels on both sets

It's not even the fact that it's a lottery pool that's so bad. It's the fact that these scams are NOT real lottery pools. They are pyramid schemes.

It is a scam that makes the people who started it very rich, while all the suckers spend all their time and money trying to achieve the wealth that will never arrive.

I do not beleive in predictions or lottery systems, but I do beleive in Syndicates.

Lottery machines and balls don't have any memory, and they are subject to the law of probability.
