Let the courts handle it. The talking heads on ESPN don't know squat and to have them spend the whole Monday Night Football game surmising his punishment and his future in the NFL was infuriating. I say fry him and every sportscaster talking about him ad nauseam!!!

Football is football and dog fighting is dog fighting. The two don't mix in any sports conversation unless you are Nancy Grace looking for a story or Anderson Cooper looking for a hurricane.

Except he has already accepted a plea bargain now, and that will likely include, at the least an 18 month prison sentence. He knew he wasn't going to get acquitted. So he won't be available to play in 2008.

Once he gets out, I personally seriously doubt that the NFL Commissioner is going to just allow him back that easily. I really do think that his career in the NFL is over for some time. UPDATE :

Vick has agreed to a plea deal with the Feds. He has changed his plea to guilty.

We will see what happens next.....

You're right, we wouldn't be hearing about it. But I believe they'd still be prosecuting him, even if he was joe blow. The other two owners WERE arrested, and have already plead guilty, haven't they? He's a dog owner, he provided the property to hold the fights on, he personally used cruel methods to execute some of the under-performing dogs. What bigger head could there be to fry

It's only a misdemeanor in Idaho. Creeps get caught, pay a small fine, and are back doing it the next weekend. Note to self: Write to my state reps first thing Monday.

because he is a well known athlete he is being made a scapegoat. if it was a common joe blow off the street, you wouldn't hear anything about the incident. i don't agree with what took place but come on he is the sacrificial lamb in this case. there are more bigger heads to fry than his..what about the owners of the other dogs that were involved in the fighting

Ms Pat, Michael Vick is not the sacrificial lamb in this case. Sure, sometime people are scapegoats, but he committed a crime and should pay for it. This so-called sport has been investigated for many years and law enforcement raids are common. I feel personally that he should have to do some time maybe not much but when these athletes get in the public eye, they need to leave all of that garbage behind. His mother or dad should have whipped his ass one more time. They need to learn how to act ..It is sad to say, but it is the truth.

tho the lions can be a pathetic bunch on the field, they do not usually sign people with character issues.....and Vick has sone serious ones.

Vick make cop a plea...but I really don't think he is going to get off too lightly....everyone is watching this case and will jump all over ther legal system if they go too easy. I really believe his troubles are just starting, and as far as football... I think he is toast

It has been going on for at least 6 years. They found over 50 pit bulls on his property.

I discarded my vote because any time served in prison is dangerous. While I am disappointed with Michael Vick's choice of so-called friends, he still is responsible for his actions. However, I take no pleasure in another man's downfall. All of us, at one time or another have made a bad choice in life. If you have not then may GOD continue to bless you.

doubt Mike himself is the one that put the dogs to rest. He is the ring leader for most of this would

not be possible without his finances but he is not a monster. When dogs fight they sustain injuries

You are correct, in the assessment on animals, but I believe , he will get a minimum of 2 years. The judge in this case is very firm. NFL will suspend him for a minmum of 1 year, and the Falcons owner will get rid of him. I doubt, he will ever have another endorsement contract. After all of this, he still will not have learned his lesson. He is a complete idiot, like his brother.

due to him being as huge a star as he is in football and him having money i say he gets a light sentence,hefty fines and suspension from pro football for one year.after this one year the falcons will have already dropped him.look for mike vick to play in 2008 for either of these teams below......

It depends on whether they want to make an example of him or not how much time he will get. Also in many states you can pay the hefty fines and get minimal jail time and then some probational period.

There is way too much evidence for him to be acquitted, but I believe he will get a light sentence. I just hope people realize this case isn't about football, and it isn't about race and it isn't about money. The victims here are the helpless animals who were drowned, electrocuted and hanged by a sadistic person who turned cruelty into a profitable business. My vote is for more than 5 years. Where does Michael Vick go to court? I hope the judge pleads him guilty. I think he'll be sent to prison for 5 years and 6 months (until Super Bowl 46 ends). If he's going to return to the NFL, I think it'll be in 2013 if he's guilty.
