hi All

what should have noted was how few doubles had been in recent past as they are probablely doing some catch up as doubles will hit 27.3 percent of the time, and did this recent string of hits bring it up to the average or did it go over. If over it will correct back down to 27.3

Probability then becomes approximately: 1 in 35,407

Probability of that happening: 1 in 35,407

Mean draws between occurrences: 35,407 draws

If drawn daily, this event occurs on average once every 96 years 344 days.

However, given this event just happened, there is a high probability it will happen again soon.

Also, given there are many draws during the year in many states, it could happen in another state.

The average yearly rate drops with that many draws in many states.

Look for it.

Hi Chaz,

concerning the 2-digit return in NY eve:

09/01/2007 : 414

09/02/2007 : 424

Both digits in first and third position returned to the draw. Even if they are the same digit, it remains a 2-digit-return.

I figured for 4 doubles in a row once before..... but 8 in a row just might be a world record for PICK 3 games world wide.
