The set you posted is 100% 2if3of10n8c but as you can see it also ignores all numbers in the all high, all odd and all even groups. In a well constructed set of 8 there should be one representive of each group.

Are you talking Back Pair and Frontpair? If so, that I know is in some states. But I know of no state that will pay anything for 2 of 3 anywhere in the draw. As it stand, from what you say, MD is really really really generous ! Here in Taxconsin, all they want is your wallet.

There are a number of such sets of pick 3 combos that will produce 2 digits of the 3 in almost any drawing. The problem with this system is you don't win anything for getting 2 of 3 (heck, tonight, for the fourth time in the last week and a half, I had 2 of 3 in a straight, and missed one....and got nada) ....And if you back check, you'll find that you're lucky if one of the combinations from the set' comes in in any given month. Badger, thanks for the follow-up, but many states do have a 2 of 3 play that wins you $25 or $50 per draw, including my state Maryland. So perhaps this method could turn out profitable.

There are a number of sets of combinations that can be boxed that meet your criteria. But be aware that getting all three of the digits falling in any one of those combinations is why that system doesn't work that well. It simply doesn't happen that often. And since you get no money for getting 2 of 3 digits, it does you llittle good. Another on of those methods that look good at first sight, but really isn''t something where you can come out ahead.

Using my set of 8 combos, I just looked at all the evening draws this evening and found that it you had played those 8 combos in every state, you would have had at least 2 correct in each and every draw that was not a double.

I just went back and read the email again that sent me the numbers that I paid $29.95 for! Oh well.

Here is what it says:

Over 96% of the time the winning numbers drawn

will be single sets of three like the eight

sets of combo's listed below.

So, I guess it is a 2if3, but I thought I had seen it miss have 2 correct before. Maybe not.

I should have mentioned that it did not cover doubles or triples. It can't be a 2if3 because, believe me, it does NOT always work. But ALMOST always (maybe 96%??!!).

It is a 2if3in10number8combination wheel or (10,3,2,3)=8

There are dozens of these wheels possible with 120 all different boxed combinations.

What seems to work best is to build the wheel around a hot boxed number from the game. That being a three different digit number that has hit boxed most often over the last six months to a year.

The original 8 numbers (which I bought long ago when I just learning about pick 3) does not guarantee 2 if 3. The statement made by the person selling it was that 95 to 96% of the time you would have TWO correct numbers. And it does work that way. But getting the third digit is the hard part!

And Raven is correct for the 17 combinations to guarantee 2 if 2, although I have seen it as 18 combinations, also.

I remember this discussion on the post before on here several months back, but I can't seem to locate it now. Does anyone know what the 8 sets of combinations are? These 8 combos represent 2 out of 3 correct numbers in each drawing as long as no double or triple appears.

Thanks for your help again. I hate when I misplace my reference materials.
