LottoMike. I respect your thoughts about not having a gun in and around kids. However, I want to say that I have a 9mm semi auto in my bedroom and a .40 cal Glock in my office. I do not worry about my kids grabbing the weapons since I have taught them at 3 years old what a gun can do and what will happen if they play or try to play with them.

I used to be an expert marksman and also a pretty good archer when I was very young, but I would never shoot at any living target. I don't even like killing insects, but it's one of those necessary evils around here.

So my answer is - if I was that nervous about people breaking into my home or harming me, I'd hire a bodyguard.

If I won the lotto and saw a burglar in my house ... I'd have to pepper spray him 1st to stun him. Then I'd blast him with an elephant gun or an oozie ... so I wont miss ! A gun would be the last thing on my mind. I find it weird that someone would even asks this question but we have all kinds of people in the world anyway. To ask this question, makes it appear as though you are a dangerous person because a gun can be very dangerous especially around kids if you have them.

If I win the lottery, I will be thinking about people who I can assist and also how I can better myself. I definetely would not buy a gun.

I like guns for sport. Whether it be for hunting or going to a range or field just to shoot them. Pistols are pretty fun to shoot. As for other purposes, well I'll just remember the saying Guns don't kill people, people kill people .

I have 5. They all have locks on them that the police were giving to anyone that wanted a lock. My favorite is my 2 shot barrel over barrel derringer .38 special . These guns were given to me when my father passed away. Before that I never owned a gun and didn't want to. Was afraid I might use it on someone.
