It appears that once again the Tennessee Lottery has made a mistake so glaring it requires them to pay out two sets of midday numbers.

The lottery spokepeople must be getting tired of the mistakes too, because they didn't even attempt an explanation this time.

Very well put! She has the ultimate responsibility. Deep inside I have a feeling she was hit with a strong sales pitch, by GTECH. They hit her with both barrels and she folded. Don't think I have any sympathy for her, because I don't. She's well paid for making the right decisions. I would be willing to bet, if the next lottery, she takes over, has balls, she will do some deep soul searching, before changing.

I think your moderation of the forum is fine. I've had my own experience as an administrator as well as dealing with administrators, so I know who makes the final decision. Sometimes a disagreement might happen here or there, but hopefully everybody understands it's just a difference of opinion.

I just wanted to mention how I felt early on so that we can keep the same discussion contained within reasonable boundaries. For example, tommorrow, if someone decides to mention all the things they hate about the TN lottery, I think it would be better to mention it in an existing TN lottery thread instead of creating a new one because I think the strength of an argument/arguments is not only dependant on numbers, but organization as well. Dude, Mike is not spamming the forums. He outlined several of the on-going problems with the Tennessee Lottery. For your information, the state legilslature is also looking at these same issues, and they take each of the things Mike is talking about very seriously.

That is what the LOTTERY blames, but in reality, how could you possibly pass the buck to a vendor, after you sent out an e-mail stating that you had checked the drawing mechanism yourself, and it produced doubles just fine?

I would have to disagree. These events were all independent blunders by a lottery that is piling mistake upon mistake. It all began with a bonehead move to computerized drawings, ruining a happy state of balance.

Jarasan, I don't know if you've figured this out or not, but I'm the type of person who likes to look at the big picture . A lot of people look at the drawing malfunction, and automatically go into a rage and start listing as many things as they can, even breaking down a single major mistake into many different ones just for the sole purpose of having more things listed, as well as not even taking into consideration the third party involvement in the malfunction. I don't care for RNG's myself, but I find it funny how some of you guys like to take a mistake and break it down into as many different mistakes because apparently the more things you can list the worse they are. first the RNG being snuck in and those awful cartoon draws

second they couldn't even properly do an RNG draw correctly

third instead of getting the winning numbers i got hot phone sex

fourth they try to explain it all away as to why the RNG malfunctioned

fifth they incorrectly post the wrong jackpot amount.

in my eyes there is no lottery here no more
