I find it annoying and unnecessary, so I'm glad you offered a chance to disable it.

As for why I think it's unnecessary, if I'm going to read a thread at all I read it in chronological order, and if I choose to continue reading, I'll see the most recent when I get to the last page unless the post is made after I've loaded the last page. That means there's absolutely no point in a pop up when I'm not already on the last page of posts. If I'm already planning on going there I'll see it when I... [ More ]

For anyone wondering, I have added the option to allow the feature to be disabled. It is in the Board Settings page: https://www.lotterypost.com/control_board.asp

In addition, I have added the ability to disable smooth scrolling, if you would like to jump directly to a sport on the page, rather than gliding to it smoothly. For example, when you click a Top button, smooth scrolling glides the page upwards, whereas if you turn it off the page will instantly jump to the top.

sorry Todd I should have read it a little closer. This would not affect vtrac result page. I spend most of my time, copying and pasting to the deflation page.

Great, it isn't posts I am worried with. When using the vtrac page it takes lots of time to transfer it to the deflation page and to delete the information not need in order to deflate.

Not that at all. When testing out a program, I wouldn't want to stop to block out a pop up.

I lose my place and have to start back..

Sorry. I am not sure where this pop up is suppose to be. I haven't seen one, so I really could not tell if it would hinder my research.

Yes, there is such a feature. It's called Active Topics , and everyone should be using it! It's the first option in the Forums menu.

Active Topics shows you all the topics that have any posting activity since your last visit.

For me, it is the first page I visit every time I open the site.

In addition, the icons next to each post in the Forums is brighter if it contains posts you have not read.

I just got it, and like it. Usually I just wait for the page to auto refresh, which I think is every 15 minutes or something like that.

Here's a dumb question, I'm sure I just haven't found it. But is there a way to go to the last unread post in threads you've previously read but have new posts next time you visit? I've just been scrolling thru looking for the new posts which takes alot of time.

Thank you. Most people will never know it's even there, because it only works if you pause for over a minute on a page. So it will only appear if you're in a situation where you'd want it to appear. Yes, I'll make a link to turn it off.

I came up with a new feature on the forums, which is pretty cool, if I do say so myself!

If you're reading a thread and someone else posts a new message while you've got the thread on your screen, Lottery Post will put a small box in the bottom corner letting you know, and giving you an opportunity to go to the new post.

So let's say you post something and you're waiting for a response. After you post it, just sit there and wait. When someone posts something new to the thread it pops up... [ More ]
