I warn everyone I know who uses the internet never to reply to an email with a link, even if it might be legitimate. It only takes a few seconds to manually type a URL or access your favorites folder. Some of the phishing emails even have toll free customer service numbers. If my account looks okay, then I don't pay any attention to them. Still, I would only use the telephon... [ More ]

msn and yahoo are not going to care. They are a public email server, open to anything that slivers on this green earth. AOL is another account that isnt worried about saving face when scams are abound.

I actually read these scams for sheer lack of intelligence in which they were composed. Sometimes there is actual humor in these scam letters. Why let something go to waste that is a real belly roll.

No more pounds?

Can't these people get into real trouble using MSN and YAHOO!'s name like that? I would try and notify MSN and Yahoo! of this......there must be some way to contact them. I'm sure they would be VERY interested in reading this....

Odd that old Florina doesn't have a YAHOO! email address. NOT

Have you seen the Commercial where a guy sits down next to a woman on a bus and gives her the same type of spiel?

The guy is dressed like a bum and I believe he shows her a crimpled check from a foreign bank and asks to use her account to cash it. The idea is that if these scams were presented in person, people wouldn't even blink an eye and walk away.

Both Yahoo and MSM ask for name and address when getting an email address so that alone should be enough to know they are not part of rando... [ More ]
