I have second thoughts also. If they hold another raffle, odds are I will only buy one ticket. When I bought the tickets, I would buy them throughout the month. I would buy about one every paycheck or so, so I don't really feel bad about the money. It just would have been nice to win. I felt sad for a while, but it's just the lottery so I will have to get over it. lol.

I'm having second thoughts about buying a ticket if Idaho holds another raffle. I spent fifty bucks(!) on this one with nothing to show for it. I'm thinking I'd be better off spending the $$$ on regular games, cuz this was hugely disappointing to me. I had to go bake a pan of brownies and eat 1/3 of them to feel a bit better. lol

Well drat, I just watched the webcast of the top 4 prize numbers and I didn't win any of those. The million dollar prize went to a very early ticket in the 2000 range. Ah well, maybe I'll win one of the smaller prizes, hope they post the numbers soon.

This whole thing is screwy. First they don't have the drawing when they said they would. Now they're saying the results will be live on KTVB. Hmmm, KRTV is running ads that the results will be on their station. Wonder who has it right

On the rules page it says that if the tickets sold out early then they would have the drawing the 26th, but this image says it's the 31st. It's not a big deal, but I was hoping the drawing would be earlier.

I just checked the official Idaho website and all the tickets are gone! They really sold out fast.

Drawing:

The drawing will be conducted on December 31, 2007, or as soon as December 26th, depending on the sale of the last Raffle ticket, and is subject to Lottery rules, regulations and state law.

It's looks like the drawing will be held the day after X-mas since all the tickets sold out early. Good luck to all of us who bought tickets

Another update. As of now, there is only 9,307 tickets left! I was wrong. I thought that we would have to wait till the 21st for the tickets to be gone. I think they will be gone by Monday or Tuesday at the latest.

I was standing in line to buy my last raffle ticket and the guy in front of me had a bunch of scratch-offs and Wild Cards and stuff to cash in and then he bought more so we had time to talk. lol I asked if he had his raffle ticket yet and he said yeah, he had 20 of them!!! Glad I didn't get that far out of control, 5 is more than enough for me to be spending.

I think sales have picked up because there are only 23,926 left at 1:30 pm.... [ More ]

Wish the Raffle tickets were $10 in Florida. They're $20 each. There will be 12 million dollar winners out of 1,500,000 tickets sold. They will probably sell out before the end of the month, but they're not moving as quickly as they did last year. I don't know if I will buy one this time, but I would have found that $10 price to be more attractive because I'd want to buy a few tickets at different times.

Yep they seem to be going at a little over 3,000 per day, but maybe there'll be a surge at the end? I was thinking they'll be gone by the 21st. I'm gonna get 1 more (my 5th) tomorrow and that's it.

I decided against buying another one. I figure I have bought enough. I either win something or I don't. My mom who hadn't bought any tickets, bought one on Friday, but she is only going to get one. She isn't much of a gambler.

There are only 43,465 tickets left. If they keep selling at this pace, the drawing will be on the 26th instead of the 31st

Sorry for the double post, but I ended up buying one today instead of waiting until this weekend. I really excited about the drawing. I checked the official lottery website for Idaho and they now have a thing up that says over 60% of the tickets sold. So it looks like they are keeping track of the sales and keeping their site updated. Yesterday it said something like 55% or 57% or something.

I've been coming up with excuses to buy more, too.

It's my Christmas present to myself.

I've spent $100 for a chance at the St. Jude's dream home, and top prize is only worth $350K. It's not out of line to spend that much for a chance at $1,000,000!

If tickets don't sell out, Idaho may not have another raffle. Gotta buy another to help sell it out.

I've bought three so far. I bought one on the 11th (the day they started selling them), one on the 16th and one today. I did it this way because I wanted a variety of numbers not close to each other. I may get another one on December 1st or a bit later if they are not sold out by then. Good luck Lilly

Holy carp, there's an article at the Idaho Lottery site saying several workplaces and families are starting pools for this. For a mere million! Me thinks they haven't thought out how much (little) they'll get if they actually do win the million. Tickets are only $10, buy your own for heaven's sake.

Idaho Lottery is finally holding a raffle with 250,000 tickets selling for $10 each, starting Nov 11. Drawing on Dec 26 if tickets are sold out. Dec. 31 if they're not. Prizes are:

1- 1 million

4 - $25,000

300 - $500

500 - $100

Think I'll buy me a couple tickets for this one.
