Seeing it on the last draw wasn't all that unusual. It DOES happen and it's been awhile.... But two in a row is probably unprecedented.

But in a random system, with each draw being mutually exclusive, it's bound to happen over time. Nevertheless, I'm betting that an odd number or two shows up on Saturday.

Monitoring lottery results only tells you what has happened, not what can happen, and a couple of hundred results are meaningless when there are millions of possible outcomes.

As John notes, for lotteries with an even number of numbers the chances of all odd or all even numbers will be the same. The odds for all numbers in the bottom half or all numbers in the top half will also be the same. You can split the numbers up in any fashion you want, but it will always be the same.

With the same number of odd and even numbers in a matrix (there aren't in PowerBall, there are in MegaMillions) the chances of all odd and/or all even are 1::64. With a 5/55 matrix in Powerball the chances are slightly better that all odd numbers will show rather than all even.
