Did better than I did.

I started keeping track and doing a set amount each year in 2003. Hence the $20 dump due to only playing with high jackpots vs whim. Keeping track is fun and a good way to see just how much you can spend.

I think another good question for a poll would be: What was the most you ever spent at one time on lottery tickets?

For me, that would be $20.

I was behind a guy in line at the 7/11 who was buying, really, $250 worth of Mega Million tickets.

Ok, here's mine in detail as of Nov 30 '07:

Pick 3 - $143 / 0 winnings

Pick 4 - $42 / 0 winnings

Little Lotto (Pick 5) - $286, won $89 (all $1 and $10 wins)

Lotto (Pick 6) - $125, won $9

Mega Millions $144, won $20

Raffle $20 / 0 winnings (that's it for me and raffles)

Pick N Play $ 2 / 0 winnings (I've never heard of anybody winning on these

Played the budgeted $100 all on Mega Millions. Not much, but what I think I should play. All plays were when the payoff was over $100,000,000.

Of note, I won a total of $6, of which $4 was on matches on a $3 ticket.

Went nuts one drawing (the big $300,000,000 one) with a $20 purchase. On that ticket, with 180 numbers (6 x 20) didn't have one that matched any drawn number. Wonder what the odds of that were?

Hey Mike....You love those p-4s and do quite well with them.

I like to monitor whether I'm even or in the hole as a whole. No decimal points but a good idea. So far I must say I'm not far ahead as I'd like to be by the deepest stretch of the imagination, but content with the growing and learning processeses along the way. Tweak city will be the name of my band. Or maybe hone town....lol

I voted not too good but I wasn't sure exactly how to vote. I did do quite well with hits on pick 3 but, I didn't spend much on them. I played a lot of .50 bx plays. I was being conservative. I had a lot of bx hits that came out str. There is still time left in the year to get some big wins. I'm hoping 878 or 884 falls soon on the KY evening draw. I think next year I will pick 1 or 2 numbers and just play them.

I put average, not because I broke even, but because I had an average year in winnings vs money spent versus past years. My lotto highlights in 2007 was winning 4/5 0/1 Mega Millions twice. I live in Cali so our jackpot prizes are pari-mutuel, the normal prize in other states is 150, I won 154 the first time and 146 the second time, essentially no benefit or loss for being in a pari-mutuel state. (both were quick picks)

Terrible

Did not have the desire to wager a lot.

On line play went to hell when the new law came into existance.

When I did wager it was the wrong number picked.

Costruction Industry is in a decline. Need to watch the bucks.

Who would want to gamble with an arm mortage. I would want a fixed rate to know what I will be paying.

Looks like more losers with arms than in the lottery. Big time. Billions

Congrats to those who made money in 2007 and good for those who broke even. I didn't.

The only thing I can say is I took $20 out of the ATM on Wed since it was empty. I went to Publix and only picked up a loaf of bread, a dozen eggs and a quart of milk. I then went to the lottery counter and bought my 4 regular Lotto tickets. I didn't do that well, but then I play jackpot games like Powerball, Wild Card 2 and Hot Lotto and not Pick 3 or 4. I did end up winning something like $24 on PB this year, which is pretty good for me.

I voted very good, because I did fairly good (wins to sporatic for my liking) from January 2007 until about September 2007. But, then I learned how to put all I've learned together, from August until present and it is really paying off. I've made more money from October - present, than I have since started playing the lottery in 1995.

I am truly grateful, blessed and I am a risk taker. So people aren't willing to take reasonable risk to get their lifes' dream, but I was/am and I'm truly bless... [ More ]

i had a few 1000$+ wins, but all in all not much profit made. the thing with me is sometimes i'm just too cheap. should bet another quarter or 50 cents for a bigger prize. i'm playing very conservative now. not making 100$ bets on sports as sports is a much higher risk. conservation preservation of the bank roll..thats my new motto until i hit a nice lotto payout.

I had a confusing year.

Started out doing pretty good playing a 5/39 game, hitting four 4 out 5, several 3 out 5, and lots of 2 out 5. Then I hit a slump and couldn't pick my nose so I switched to the Keno style 10-spot Ten-Oh game. Did great for a while but now I'm right back in that slump.

Guess it's time to move over to the Pick-4.

me i had that pick 4 straight in february but didn't play much after that due to online being banned and tennessee going computerized.however i'm way ahead in the profit margin so i guess i did very good.2,500 dollars i won is a slow year for me compared to 2004,2005 and 2006.
