Hello tntea,

What town do you have your pools in. A long time ago I formed a small pool for a few weeks for a few people we won a little under $600.00. At that time I did not have a computer was not savy at it. Anyway. I still have an interest to form a small club here in Florida. We have the fantasy 5 which runs daily, lotto 2 days a week (6 no's) the mega which is more difficult.

I have heard of these people. They show almost every day with several winning tickets. Something is going on and it has nothing to do with them guessing the correct numbers.

I believe there are people in this country who want to win at Lotto but don't want the government, on any level, knowing about them. So they sell their tickets to others at a discount. The people you see show up to recieve their winnings are buying those tickets. Everyone is making money so everyone is happy.... [ More ]

If someone is winning regularly, I doubt if they want to explain to any stranger what they are doing, it's just better to brush time aside nicely by saying they're just winging it . Too often locals just want to stick their nose in their financial business and can become a pain if they regularly run into them when buying lottery tickets.

Using pencil and paper you can figure it out.

To really narrow down the facts in pick 3 and 4 requires a computerized system in my opinion.

Gettiing a real high confidence play you can load more money on it.

The stats give you an edge in my opinion.

I use a computer and am also waiting on the big one...

But I have run into a couple of people who are cashing in winners at the store and often they say they just wing it. At first I thought, ok they got lucky but now I am not sure as I have seen several 'wingers' cash for alot of money.

I agree totally and this is why I believe a system will be found one of these days. While finding a reliabel average is the problem, there are several patterns which will produce a reliable average. While some may be 50-50 and others 30-70 and still others 10-90, these are reliable patterns that can be relied upon to maintain that per centage from draw to draw. One thing about systems is making sure to back test extensively to find their averages in hits per number of plays. You mention the odd/even outcome but it works the same in any system and that is once a reliable average is known then in order for it to maintain itself half the time it'll come in at or over the average and the other half at or under it. Thanks for all the replies. For what I could gather reading the threads, most of us who visit here daily are not system players. Hence the poll.

So far there have been 222 views and out of those, 25 voted. Only one person admitted to winging it.

I'm a paper and pencil gal and I tend to use a system when choosing my numbers. I don't care much for the quick picks that the computer spits out. However, if I am in a hurry I will sometimes buy quick picks. (But that is rare.

For me it's both. I do some work the old fashioned way with a pencil and paper but much of the hard stuff is done with the computer. In fact the main software I use was one that was purchased in the late 90s and is still as good as anything that's out today for crunching the numbers. The interface could use some work though, maybe it's been updated although the last I knew the website was still showing the same version that I've got.

I am using a pencil paper and chart for lotto 5 and pb...

I have over 20 pools I have created. I keep a receipt book and each receipt indicates the pool people are in. It has their name and address/phone number on my duplicate sheet, so I can contact them if new numbers are added. (Example, Pool 1 hit the powerball number 3 times.. and the monies went back in to buy Pool1A Pool2B and Pool1C tickets..

I use a computer to lose all my gambling money. I know there are some of use who use paper and pencil. Just how many of us use one or the other is the question. And how many buy Quick Picks, use birthdays ect., or just go the QP route.
