Always, but it is a general rule that with the lottery you usually will feel a lot of remorse before you will feel good with a big win. It gets worse after a big win when you go back to remorse for years.

I like the way you think. I checked sometimes But you're right, I will indeed probably lose 99% of the time. It's the 1% that I am waiting for. We all (unless you play QP) believe in our systems and know that someday our numbers will hit . So I figured we are all just playing constantly so we won't miss that specific day that our numbers will come up. Maybe from now on, i will look at it as a numbers game. 1 down, 41 million to go. LOL.

I don't feel any remorse for buying losing tickets. Personally I think if someone feels remorse it is because they either spent their last dollar or the money was to be used to pay for something of importance like a utility bill, but instead they took a chance to win some extra money but lost. Now that the money is gone they feel remorse for buying the ticket(s).

I don't get buyers remorse for losing lotto tickets. I spend the money and take my chances. If you feel remorse perhaps you should reexamine your budget and look at how much money you spend on tickets? Not telling anyone how to live but if you are buying lotto tickets with food money or your rent money you shouldn't play as often. I only feel non- buyers remorse if I decide not to buy a ticket for a drawing waiting for a roll-over and a bigger jackpot and the jackpot gets hit that drawing... [ More ]

I checked sometimes. I always think of what else I could have purchased with the money. But you know what else? I am totally frightened on the one day ( it doesnt happen often) when I forget to play my numbers. I panic when I think it would be just my luck that my numbers will hit that night. Then I feel a total sense of relief the next morning when I check my numbers and realize that I wouldnt have won anyway. I try to play my numbers really close to the cut off time. I feel buyer's remorse whenever I buy anything! I am a no frills type which is why I rarely even play the lottery. Just having fun trying to figure it all out, that's all.

heh I love Pizza..hahaha..made one mistake in my life that I have wished a million times I could take back..November 7th ,1992..after I got of work that day I took my son Hunting and he accidently shot me in my right thigh at close range with a shotgun..almost blew my right leg off..I am still young..I am 45 and since I plan on living to be 120..I have a long time left..hahaha..anything above 120 is a bonus but I want my 120..hahaha

I don't know how old you are or your personal situation, and I realize there are plenty of women who demand to be wined and dined and are interested in one's bank account, but don't let that stop you. There are also just as many who are looking for a friend good companionship. You can make spaghetti and then watch a DVD. I sometimes feel remorse when I compare my guesses with the

winning numbers and see where I went wrong - and discover it

was due to a simple mistake.

Hindsight is 20/20.

Playing the lottery is recreation for me. Instead of paying big bucks to

watch a movie, I rent DVDs and use the difference to buy lottery products.

I cook my own food, so, that's a savings. Don't drink or smoke. so, I can

Just last night I watched a number come out that I had been playing for over a week and didn't play last night! That is when I have remorse. I also try to 'pay it forward' when I hit. When I hit I will double the amount of a tip for a meal or any charity that I might be giving to. I hit 3 times around christmas and was able to really make chrsitmas for a few other people who I didn't know a little better.

I said sometimes. Most times if I don't win anything, I figure that's how it goes. I guess there are those rare times when I've had a bad day or I am depressed and check my losing ticket and think well that was a waste. But most times, I don't feel like that. This is my hobbie, so the money is worth spending.

I do not think of it as buyer's remorse so much as just a waste when I buy a certain number for 3 days only to drop it and watch it come straight the very next day. I think of the money I spent the previous days being wasted because I did not see it thru to the end. I did not accomplish my goal.

This is for the Pick 3 game. I rarely play the larger games.

I dont feel remorse when I look at a losing ticket I played, but rather, feel that I just have to stop and play my tickets that I wrote down using my system because if they come out and I decided to just drive by the store and not play, chances are that my number would come out... and you all know Murphy's Law, right? I voted no remorse . I only spend $2.00 a week on lotto tickets (used to be Megamillions, but now I play our state's 2X weekly Superlotto), the amount I can afford to lose. I think you will feel more remorse on losing with Scatch Offs because you immediately know you lose before you leave the store. With the Megamillions or Superlotto you get to play the same numbers in advance, if those numbers don't hit now- well there is always the next time.

I guess I'm like Pavlov's dog or Harley (my favorite puppy) he scarfs down some tasty steak or chicken in seconds, then comes over with that look on his face, you know: like is there more? And he'll have that look on his face for the rest of the night, especially if we're in the kitchen.

oh yeah..I feel it..hahaha..I hate to lose PERIOD!!!!...I know I cant win everyday..every week..every month..but I sure hate to lose..when I find a set of numbers then damit I want them to show right now..hahaha..not tomorrow or next day..or 3 days later or a week..I want them the next draw..but I cant account for everything else so I have to wait..but I sure hate to wait..good luck everyone

I checked that I don't feel remorse, but maybe I should have checked sometimes. Once in a while I run out at the last minute and get an extra ticket or I add a QP to my purchase. That's really the only time I say that was a waste of a buck. But I never feel that way when I lose with my regular or budgeted plays, because I already know the odds.

I do agree that inflation has a lot to do with it too. If you drive only 30 miles each way to work and get 25mpg in the city, you are spendin... [ More ]

I doubt the average lottery player looks at loosing tickets and feels remorse. I think they feel let down when they are looking a a losing ticket and get a high off of winning.

There might be some people who feel remorse when they have spent far to much of the grocery or bill money on lottery tickets and continuously lose money. Remorse implies guilt.

No i dont feel remorse..the odds of lotto are you are going to have net losses 9 out of 10 times.

If one is serious about playing any game (sports, lotto etc) we must accept losing as part of the game.

I voted sometimes. Especially when I pick the numbers thru a system and truly beleive its a hit. Only to watch the draw and not see any of the numbers show up!

Same with buying a NEW game from a scratch off. Figuring in the beginning they are luring folks in with more winners at the beginning of the game. Thus far that theory hasnt worked in my favor.

Probably just discouraged with cost of inflation.

Just read an article on msn money today how wage increases have not kept up with cost of living for a great many years.

20 dollars does not buy much of squat today.
