			<description><![CDATA[<p>The lottery went on sale in November 1957 to help raise money for the construction of Sydney Opera House.<br /><br />Tickets were  5 each with a first prize of  100,000.<br /><br />By the time the last draw was conducted in September 1986, the Opera House Lottery raised over $100 million towards the $102 million final cost of the Opera House, which was formally completed in 1973.</p>]]></description>
