You're actually a little bit off, on the average a states advantage in Scratch games is around 33% - 40% for lower priced games and it is about 24%-28% for the higher priced ($10 and up) so Dustin should have lost about 750.00 on his investment .

Actually $1600 back on $3000 worth of scratch tickets is about right. Also, the more you spend on a single scratch game the more you lose the majority of the time.

Think of it this way, what if a new game came out and you bought ALL the tickets for that game. You would be GUARANTEED to lose about half your money (a little more or less depending on the games odds and prize setup).

I make the journey to VA to scratch (only about an hour +/- depending on traffic) and while the odds might be about the same or a little worse for breaking even - you hit a lot more often... Good Luck! Pogo

Oh wow, that is a lot of money to lose. Sorry about that. I don't really like scratch-offs. Everyone once in a while I buy a $1.00 one, but that is about it.

a full book cost $300 so the odds relly suck i hate nc lottery thier scratch offs are a ripp i spent 3 grand and got about 1,600 back

WOW! 10 full books! How many in a book? 25? 50? Risky move but it does increases your chances of winning a large prize. Sorry you didn't win. I would have gone to vegas where the odds are slightly better if I had money to buy 10 books. Good luck on your next 10 books buy.

In NY the odds are pretty bad compared to other states.

1/5-5.3 $5

1/4-4.3 $10

1/3.3-3.6 $20

The only advantage is there are lots of people buying tickets so it increases you odds of winning something.

i have bought 10 full books of this ticket and they suck nc lies about the results and odds it say 1-3-30 but you only get 9 winners out of a pack i asked them about that and they said its the odds out off all the tickets they made wich is bs i buy lotto tickets in tn and va and the odds it says on the back are true if they say 1-3-30 you will get 10 winners out of the pack not in nc nc scatch offs are a ripp of go across the state line to buy your scatch offs also it says the payout is supposed... I took some time to look into that ticket and it seems ok to me. I don't really like the odds(1-3.3); however, you have the same odds of winning $20 as you do winning a free ticket... 1:10. Not bad in my opinion. Also, that's a really good top prize for a $10 game. A lot better than what you would find in Tennessee.
