It has NO use for us on predicting future draws - and None was implied.

The only thing it means is, repeats can and do occur. To the 5th degree, I suppose.

That have never happened in the BigGame/MegaMillions game and it has had 1112 drawings since it started on September 6,1996.

It has to be noted that the drawing on 2/8/2003 had 53 white balls and the drawing on 1/9/2008 had 55 white balls. PB changed the matrix (number of balls) on 8/28/2005 to 55 (what it is today).

Still, It is a nice observation but I don't know what use it brings for us players on predicting future draws...

A 5+1 match would be significant, but there's nothing amazing about a 5+0 match. The odds that one specific drawing would have a 5+0 match with another specific drawing are 1:3,478,761, but that isn't what happened. One random drawing matched another random drawing, and the odds against that are much lower. I'm not sure when PB went to 2 drawings a week, but figure there have been at least 1000 drawings since the game started. For any specific drawing the odds of a 5+0 match with any of the pre... That is freaking amazing. Especially with the odds of 1 in 3,478,761. I hardly match 4 numbers in the ones I play.

While updating my Powerball program, I discovered two sets of Powerball numbers had repeated the same combo.

1-9-2008 2-13-20-21-23 PB 24

2-8-2003 2-13-20-21-23 PB 35

Wonder what the odds are on that
