No way playing the lottrey its like sports to me, the rebate will go towards more important situation at hand at the moment. If we get too greedy gambling, might end up with nothing just be careful! Good luck

I'm sure some will buy a few JP tix with that money, but the govt. thinks people are going out and buying T.V.s and clothing...etc...to stimulate the economy. I personally believe they will spend most of it paying bills, considering the economy as it is.

The middle class who have just about everything the Jones' have will probably pay credit card bills, because that's how they got what the Jones' have. The poor will buy food and basic rudementries.

It would take several P4 BOX or P3 STR wins to equal 600 dollars. My system is designed to play as few numbers as possible, a few strong numbers instead of several weaker ones. I'd not play more than that unless there is a big PB or MM jackpot at the time and even then not more than reasonable. Better to pay off CC debt or put it in the stock market. Bashley572, I agree with your signature line...that is why I continue to religiously play the lottery.

As for the question tax rebate question, I plan to invest ALL of it into Roth IRAs for myself and my wife. My lottery playing plan already calls for me to have a play in for every draw, and I don't see any reason to play more just because I got a little bit of money coming from myself thanks in part to the actions of the government.

You do know we will not be receiving those rebate checks until june or july, right? Mine will be for a much needed vacation. Or braces for my other daughter. My federal refund went to one daughter for some braces already.

UPDATE: The senate is trying to add on 150 billion to the rebates that will include senior's who are living on social security..That's what I just read in the US News..

This is what I found so far about it.

People who do not make enough to pay taxes but had at least $3,000 in earned income would get $300. Those earning less than that would be disqualified, as would the wealthiest. Older people living solely off Social Security checks would not get the rebate.

Cool question! Our president's proposal will backfire just as the previous one did. I plan to save the entire check and I think so will many others who are stuck in our current economy. I will NOT go and spend it in the mall like they want. But I still have to play my regular lotto-I really plan/hope to win someday and change my life. I will play the same amount though, I can't afford extra. I MAY play a $5 scratch-off here and there that I like, but nothing crazy.

I will spend the money on everything American. when I travel,I will use an American airliner, I will play my state's lotto, I will buy American branded gasoline(Marathon in my city).
