Newguy divided 120 singles combos into 4 sets and guaranteed a hit if a single was drawn. There are 120 singles or 6-way boxes so his guarantee is based on the 1 in 4 chance of choosing the correct set. His suggesting for choosing the correct set was All Pick 3 players know which number to play .

No. I don't believe in a fool proof system.

The best odds you can get out of a pick 3 game are:

FRONT PAIR / BACK PAIR combo

Odds 1:100

play up to 40 numbers @ $1 ea = $40 spent ($50 won) PROFIT = $10

Odds 1: 2.5

Now..this is crazy because you couldn't double up (or martingale) the next night and expect to make a profit.

BUT......

I play FRONT PAIR / BACK PAIR (avaible to certain states)

25 numbers * $1 = $25 ($50 prize) NET PROFIT = $25

YES profit and also time and effort, ...one could play things like this: 2 LOW AND 1 HIGH # ..occurs 37.5% so you could take a chance and play $375 and win $500 (profit $125) or 2 odds 1 even or 2 even 1 odd (they occur 37.5 of the time)...if you have a lot of money for playing lotto you could double up when losing (martingale<<i don't recommend this) and chase any of the above (they usualy come out around 4 draws or less on average) and then win a profit of ~$100 at the end..but not worth the t... The amount of numbers that would be too much depends on the payouts, no?

If a 6-way pays for example 80$ for 1$ plays / number, then playing 81 numbers would be too much.

Ofcourse, 80 numbers would also be too much, since one wouldn't make a profit, so the max turns out to be 79 numbers. In the end of the day, if one is sure his/her numbers will have the winning number, there will always be a profit. One full dollar.

Anything over 20 is too much. When there are so many numbers...you can never see the obivious. If you only have a couple of number you can play heavy, then the payoff will be heavy when the numbers hits.
