I played Mo. p/3 midday. I used qp's and lucky's system. I had a win from both picks. I didn't play any box, but I notice that it hit several times.

I thought I would learn something about how to lose playing a hundred numbers each day, and that would help to win in the long term. I am just trying to look at it sort of upside down. I am going to play with this a bit longer, before I spend any more money again.

5-5-9 hit the evening of 02/29 $1200-100=$1100

9-5-6 hit mid-day 03/01, $1100-100=$1000

0-1-1 hit evening 03/01 $1000-$100=$900

7-6-7 hit mid-day 03/02 $900-$100=$800

It took a while but now the $100 loses are adding up. Losing $1000 might be a little slower had I counted boxed hits.

The trick is to get 10 losses in a row. If you get a win, you have to start the count over.

The in a row is the hard part. Losing a grand (net) is easy.

The odds of playing 100 straights for 10 days and not hitting on any of those 10 days are ~34.87%, which means in 2 of 3 ten-day tries, you could expect to 'fail' at some point.

You'll have a slightly better chance of losing every time by betting $1 for 1000 days, but that also offers the possibility of winning on more than 10 days. Obviously, you only want to place straight bets. Still, there's no guarantee that you won't win.

Of course you could always play all 1000 numbers at once. You'd win, but you'd only win once, which means losing half of the $1000. Put $2 on each number and you'll lose the full $1000, but I'm assuming that's not really the goal.... [ More ]

if you want to lose than the simplest way i can think of is to try to avoid the first digit (90% to miss it).....say first day play to avoid start digit X and play all X00s....repeat same for 10 days

If you playing p/3 straight, there are 1000 possible combinations and you're playing only 100 of them so your chances of losing every day are 1000:100. You can't ask for better odds if you're really interested in losing a $1000.

I don't have a $1000 to loose so I will do the same thing with a simulation. I've picked 100 combinations and I'm going to see if any of them hit in the local lottery during the next ten drawings.
