Just joshing....I voted no from the get go. I only did that because I play the guitar and losing a hand would be like shooting myself in the foot. One of the main reasons I want plenty of money is because I want to have a million dollar studio with the state of the art recording equipment, so I can write my own music. i like my hands, but for atleast 300 million jackpot everytime, i think there would be more than 1 winner most of the time. and if thats not true then id just play 10 dollars worth just 5 sets of numbers and duplicate it, so now there is 2 winniner if i happen to have the tickets.

There was a movie series called Wishmaster. They probably read this story as kid, too.

There's a very old story called The Monkey's Paw. It grants wishes, but there are consequences.

I forget how that one ended but I'm sure iit was a typical Serling ironic ending.

The same question was posed in the Book of Questions- and every so many questions there would be one with an astrerisk - which meant no matter which way you answered there were consequences to your answer in the back of the book. In this case, such as you push the button and kill the man or woman who would have cured a disease that is going to do you in some time in the future.

I did read your thread. In fact, I included it in my reply. If winning the jackpot meant giving up one hand, that means I would only have one hand remaining to spend the money.

I would need BOTH hands to spend the money. A beer in my right hand and dollar bills in my left hand.
