This is a neat topic because it's only a matter of time until lotteries will offer gift cards people can buy as gifts just like many other business are doing. The entire $50 would have to be spent buying lottery tickets like a $50 Red Lobster gift card has to be spent there.

If the jackpot was huge, I would spend it on Mega Millions; if not I would get Rolling Cash 5.

I have already wasted $50-$100 on powerball and had very little return usually. I am not impressed. However match 6 paid back about 50% or more usually. So Match 6. 75 lines for $50 is a pretty good deal. Or Mix and Match if it is $1,000,000 or more.

Pick-3 makes the most sense because of the odds, but I haven't been following it, so maybe I'd just buy 10 of the $5 scratch-off tickets or 5 of the $10 scratch tickets.
