This is true. I read once where this couple envisioned building a church with their jackpot winnings. And they won. I'll have to find that article.

Hmmm,maybe instead of Mansion and Maserati we should be thinking soup kitchen , homeless shelter lol............

Yeah I got a ton of books on the subject, and just got two lottery books, Lottery Winner's Guide and Infinite Financial Freedom. Now all I need is a huge jackpot win so that I have time to read them all. Yeah I definitely have a very detailed plan, and have had one in place for about 5 years now. I just recently started working with the law of attraction more seriously and trying to devote what little time I have doing it.

The lotto pops into my head frequently throughout the day. I often carry a pen and small memo pad to jot down a few ideas that spontaneously come to me. When I get home, I usually work on the lotto for a couple of hours. So in a sense I'm a lottoholic, but I periodically abstain from it for 3-4 days just to clear my head and pour other things in...

As for the choices, I should have put more,yes. I wasn't sure how to break it down exactly but good choices,Todd! And, of course, you can always explain with Other.

I voted for other. one because none of the choices fit my situation.

I would say that in a given week (besides the time on this site, participating in forums, and putting up predictions for different lotteries that I don't play in real life) I probably spend about 4-6 hours a week discussing strageties for the next draw, number crunching, filling out slips, keeping records, and balancing the book. oh, and telephone calls from my pool members calling in thier numbers.

This is a very good question/poll -- I just wish there were more choices! It would be interesting to see a breakdown of time spent on the lottery stretching from a minute to 10+ hours like this:

1 minute 5 minutes 15 minutes 30 minutes 1 hour up to 2 hours up to 4 hours up to 6 hours up to 8 hours 10 hours or greater

I agree. The other day on the radio the DJ was playing a song from Hotel California which came out in 1976 so I started to think maybe it's a sign I should play 1976. That night the play-4 number was 1972.

I probably average close to an hour per day - messing around with systems mostly in Excel. I only buy tickets about once per week. And I can't really track the amount of time I spend here... I pretty much keep LotteryPost open in a tab the entire time I'm online.

I forgot to add the amount I am sitting on LP, then I add another hour. Plus I have to count the nights I dream about winning then add another hour or two for subconsciousness.

let see...8 hours work, 8 hours sleep(<<3 hours dreaming about hitting lotto), 1hour buying tickets and crunching numbers ...so i guess 4 hours total daily..you can call it a part time job

I spend time on my program but it also develops programming and logic skills. There are so many ways to analyze past drawings and patterns and you have to keep changing your strategy. i.e. one of my systems does very well in December-Janu.-Feb. but lousy in the Summer and something that did OK last year might not this year. In the past three or four months not much time at all. maybe a couple minutes a day working my numbers.

Prior to that I use to do a lot of work on the lottery as my blog will testify.

Have pretty much done all the figuring out I need and probably did not need to do so as I had it figured out before I came to Lottery Post. Was just spending time looking for other approches.

I did find another approach I like and that is the ev-od/hi-lo system.

Now I just come on lottery post to check

I bet some of us don't realize how much time we spend thinking or pondering the lottery. Those minutes can add up! I know I've spent considerable time over the past 2 years working with numbers and such.

How about you? What's your average minutes per day?
