I would be forced to tell Todd. For the upcoming interview and local TV appearance, I want an LP cap and a huge LP t-shirt. If Todd has a halloween mask with Lottory Post on it, I would want that, too. I would have so many LP logos on my body, no one would know it was me.

I'd probably tell only Todd and then ask him to tell everyone that someone here won but chooses to remain anonymous. I'd stay on the site as though nothing happened.

I would then love to start a poll with the question Which member do you think won the lottery? Of course I can't do it because you'd all know it was me because of this post.

Lucky you to be in California. LottoCalGal just called the state's lottery commission to confirm that the state of CA allows winners to remain anonymous. Wish Idaho would. I'll have to go thru all sorts of maneuvers to remain anon when I win here.

I'd probably tell. Who cares if you get inundated with PMs? You don't have to read them or reply to them. And how would anyone be able to stalk you through this forum? The only person who has any useful information (email, IP address, etc) is Todd, and hopefully he's not a stalker! If someone can track me down through the name CaliWinner , more power to them. They're more likely to be able to stalk me through the fact that winners are publicly announced in most states.

$1M or less and I would just post on here that I won immediately without a second thought.

If I won a big jackpot like Powerball, I would still post that I won, but not under this username and not from an IP that is traceable to me. Additionally, I would not post until I was ready to cash in the ticket.

Absolutely. The stalking experience is NOT pleasant at all! My job caused some of my family members to be stalked and me! We were under constant scrutiny. Not good. On top of that, I did not make enough money to warrant that, but it did not change the stalking. Staff members were NOT to divulge personal information to clients---PERIOD! But for a dollar, they would! I was stalked my a co-worker too! That is why I value privacy so much.

The funny part is, I would not tell any of my friends and family (including my mother). I would come up with some excuse why I had the money. Money is a taboo subject for me. It probably wouldn't be difficult to avoid talking about. I like being a mystery anyway.

I would post my winning ticket on LP however. I would need to tell someone. My shrink would be the only other person part of my life to know about it.

Since Iowa Illinois won't allow me to remain annonymous if I hit a jackpot,I don't see that telling people on LP would hurt.The only downside I see is that my annomynity on LP would be compromised.

Of course I would tell. That would encourge other members not to give up. Even if I don't win a large amount lets say take 5 I would still tell and put up the copy of the ticket. Nobody here really know who I really am so I have no problem sharing good news but frankly that's about I would share here at LP.

I'd tell Todd, probably the minute I found out about it. I'd have to think a while before deciding how soon to tell anyone else, and I'd likely be bursting at the seams wanting to tell someone. Besides, I think we owe that to Todd for providing this website for our use. That way, he could better answer the inevitable questions about how many people who are actually winners do use this website.
