I wasn't referring to yours or any other particular system, I was simply saying that any/all systems should be expected to do better than a bunch of hair brain multi-state predictions or they're not worth trying.

Beating the normal odds of winning is the reason players use systems, is it not? For Ohio Rolling Cash5 that would mean more than one win (2/5 or better) per 8.7 lines.

Thanks for the information Todd. Ronald Reagan was one of my favorite political figures of all time, and I was not aware of the history behind that quote. I like that quote, now even more so. The original reason why I chose that particular quote was because I think we all need to realize that just because someone else here (or anywhere else) tells us that somehing is impossible (factual), does not necessarily mean that it is impossible. Like a lot of others on here, I use the prediction board mainly as a tool. I use it to test new ideas, sometimes for one state and sometimes for all states. Mainly I really don't care how many hits I show at the end of the day, but rather, whether or not the hits I DID get resulted in a profit or not.

I use the prediction board as a tool. Say I am brainstorming a pick 3 system for my state and try it out on the board. I will watch it and see how it does for the USA in general. I will watch to see if it benefits my State or someone elses State.

It is totally unfair for results to be compared and presented on the prediction board when targeted results are compared with hair brained multi state results where the poster has no clue for a positive outcome.

In my opinion, if the results of a winning system targeted for a particular game are no better than those of a hair brain multi-state prediction then that just prove the system is no better than picking combinations randomly. I would expect a winning system or strategy to do better.

This is my opinion of some of the predictions posted on the prediction board. There is absolutely no strategy for proving a system when the numbers posted are included to cover every possible lottery in every state.

This is total nonsense, and proves nothing for the skill of the poster in providing a legitimate dynamic system for winning lotteries.

Anyone can throw a bunch of numbers up in the air and hope they hit somewhere and then dance and sing if a few come together in a remote region... [ More ]

It is not how many numbers a person posts, but Was there a profit or not if the numbers had been played?

Better to make $10 profit playing many numbers than not making any profit at all by playing only a few numbers.

That is why so many people are interested in the pick 3 game, $1 made is better than no $ at all.

Due mostly to the restriction on the ammount of posted numbers for me, I might had done it only a very few times, but as I don't post numbers often at all, it does not matter to me that there be restrictions or not.

Many people look at the numbers from a more global perspective (all states). The numbers may be based upon an accumulation of numbers from all states, so the resultant set of numbers would naturally be used for all states.

I've never posted on the prediction board, although I keep telling myself I should! I enjoy sharing my ideas and numbers via specific threads, then usually don't have time to post on the prediction board as well. Overcoming the inertia of actually learning how to post on the P board is also stopping me at this point. I'm sure it's pretty straightforward, however.

For some members posting on the prediction board is not about predicting as much as it is about testing different strategies which can include as little as one to as many as fifty combinations.

I like looking at all of them and comparing their results. There's nothing wrong with playing 50 combinations if it makes money. So far when I look at the top predictors there is a mix or premium members who can post 50 combinations per drawing and regular members who are limited to 10 combinations wh... [ More ]

I look at the boards every day...

its an easy way to check my tickets after a draw...

also,

I enjoy watching people hit like LotteryBreaker, Geos, Maddogg, Litebets, LottoChica, just to name a few ...

I enjoy playing the game, and I use the statistics to keep up with how much I am winning and losing at any given time...

before I run a wheel I study that given games lottery.

In my personal opinion, the challenge for me...is breaking even or keeping your head above the water...

I used to do it everyday.........then I strayed.....then I stopped. That was only because of book reports....job hunting...... got to check my email....myface/space page ...etc.

In other words.....the children in my house are computer hogs. I've tried schelduling....didn't work....threatening to turn off the internet....not smart.....folks around here would go into withdrawal...and that ain't pretty.

That is still a very nice hit Sysp34...people can hit just with one or two numbers and it requires a little skill plus a little luck also..my goal is the same as everyones..get it to one and be able to repeat that over and over and over and over and over and over...hahahaha..of course that is easier said than done..

So, if you don't understand the reason why someone would post 15-50 numbers, perhaps you should research the reason in the forums, as it has been explained numerous times.

If there are so many people doing it, wouldn't you think that perhaps there is a reason, and knowing the reason may in fact make you a better lottery player with more methods and tools at your disposal?

First , I don't look at the predictions because no one is predicting for China.

Second, I think IF I was playing numbers in the USA maybe there should be a prediction for just 1 or 2 numbers to see who really is on target.

I think the average player that see's all those numbers are overwhelmed by the sheer numbers some members here post. For whatever purpose all those 15-50 numbers are posted, it makes the average serious player not even look at them after a short while.

By the way, anyone who says that people who post a large set of numbers and also have a high hit ratio are more lucky than skillfull do not comprehend a stitch about odds and statistics.

In a situation where two people have identical hit ratios, and one person picks 1 numbers a day while the other picks 50 numbers per day, both are of equal luck and/or skill. There is absolutely no advantage of one over the other.

The question of why do people post so many numbers? has been answered so many times (by so many people) I could not even count. Do you really not understand what people are doing when they post several numbers? Do you actually think that people are saying to play all those numbers??

P.S. If I was one of the predictors your comment was aimed at, I must say I would be a bit offended, even with the addition of no offense to the predictors at the bottom.

I use the prediction board if the person has posted a number that I like and I feel is due.

I post my numbers first and then I check to see what others have. I have missed some hits

because there are some many numbers to look through. If a few members post the same

number I tend to gravitate towards that number. I have not used it recently because the

NY numbers are more unpredictable then usual. I can't seem to connect with the pattern of

the numbers lately.

I use it to post the numbers I actually play, but often can't get to the computer to post them EVERY day. I do agree with Lottocalgal that putting 50 # s doesn't make sense. That is why I love it when I see someone on the forums post one number, or one SET for a jackpot game, and then hit! That is the true art - post just one number/set and hit on that! That is my goal.

I looked at it a couple of times too. But until I find the true psychic who has 100% accuracy with ONE set of numbers, I won't even consider using it.

When I look at the page I see predictions with 15, 20 sometimes 30 different sets of numbers. Who can play that many everyday, twice a day or even for lotto twice a week? Maybe a set wins, maybe not. So the winnings seems to be still attributed to luck.

No offense to the predictors.

I do not know how to predict numbers, just when the big jackpots will be won. For instance, I knew this PB would be the max rollover before another rollover(and I am not winning it---LOL.
