congrats.i remember hitting a pick 4 straight in tennessee 7866 and a week later hit 6866 right when pick 4 started here and then i couldn't seem to hit for a while as i didn't get another hit for about a half a year.just be careful because sooner or later a streak cools down.

Coin Toss, today I saw a woman trying to tip a clerk or a bagger at Publix who was helping her load the groceries into her trunk. (Hey, Pac. The woman had a big, beautiful Mercedes! LOL) I was driving by, but I could see the Publix employee refusing it and the woman insisting, so she put it in her pocket. Maybe it was just a dollar...I have no idea.

I'm the one who started this thread by saying I hit 350.00 last saturday..Well I hit the cash 3 again monday for another 350.00 and still diden't leave a tip..Maybe I'm cheap..:)..I don't think Korgers will let thier employees take a tip..When I go to the horses I always leave the change and if I hit something big I leave some sort of tip,so maybe I'm not really cheap after all..What will I do if I hit millions..Hmmm

I've got to agree. Not that you're obligated until you specifically say you'll give them something, but there's a lot of difference between you sold me a winner and I've got a winner. The former suggests that the person selling the ticket had something to do with it being a winner. I've got no way of knowing what the clerk's intent was when they asked, but under the circumstances I don't see a valid basis for complaining.

has there been a case yet of a clerk suing a powerball or mega millions winner saying that person promised them something if they won?

if not i'm surprised it hasn't already happened with all the lawsuits that happen with lottery pools and that sort of thing.

The clerk might have been afraid of being fired.Many stores forbid employees to accept a tip.Or maybe she thought your generosity would jinx her luck.Some folks are very superstitous about things like that.

Believe it or not, we've had the exact opposite of getting hustled happen to us....my wife hit a Pick 3 straight box and when we cashed it at a grocery store we tried to give the clerk $20 and she absolutely would not take it.

I've got the exact opposite situation. I manage a convenience store, and I would say that each and every day I get AT LEAST 10 people who tell me after they buy any kind of ticket if I win anything, I'll be sure to give you a piece of it for selling it o me . Let it be known that I NEVER ask for anything, and DO NOT expect anything, but so far.....collections to date since 11/05 = $0.00
