I just know that the games I win on are the smaller ones. Jackpots like PB or MM have such high odds, but I have still won in the hundreds in those games. I wish they would shut up though. But once a clerk gave me a tip about the raffle game and said that winners were going to be in the southern part of the state mostly, definitely not in the pan handle and he was right

My personal superstitions:

Lottery:

If someone has left one of those fortune cookie fortunes with numbers on it at the ticket counter I usualy play them (has never worked for me yet, but...)

If somone has left a properly filled out playslip and it's for $1 or $2 I might play it (kind of like an omen)

Sports:

The home team wins Jets- Miami games.

General:

Seeing a midget is bad luck.

A lot of casinos tell their employees to say, Good luck , or Have A Lucky Day.

Superstition is rampant on both sides of the pit, the players, and casino management.

One casino in Vegas had a railroad spike under the table as it was suppossedly good luck for the house.

For years crap dealers couldn't have moustaches because a guy takin an audition for a job one night called a monster while he was on the stick and from the on it was no moustaches in the pit.

When I use to take my buddy to the track in the 80's,dog and horse track, if a black cat would run in front of the car he would make me turn around and go a differen't way..Diden't matter we would still lose..Oh well it was fun and I miss those days and my buddy who died 4 years ago..

yeah for some reason i dont purchase more than thirty dollars in tickets.

I once spent 30 dollars on tickets and didnt get even one number, whereas one day i spent 5 dollars and got two numbers and the powerball number, and i considered that lucky so ive been spending 5 dollars ever since. That's my story

I know that if a clerk hands me a lottery ticket and says good luck ,I might as well hand the ticket back because that ticket is a loser.Never fails.If a casino workers wishes me good luck,I might just as well leave because my luck will go south.
