Yes, because if you weren't thinking positive, you wouldn't buy a ticket and if you didn't buy a ticket you wouldn't have a chance of hitting any numbers but your odds of winning are the same as anyone who buys a ticket.

I believe in positive thinking because I've noticed when I buy tickets expecting to win I usually do but if I have doubts I don't......sometimes it's hard to think positive but I really do think it pays off.

For instance there is a $2 ticket I have been buying lately and yesterday I won $40 two times and $100 another time so now when I buy them I expect to win. Today I bought some and only won $10 but that's better than nothing.

I totally agree with this observation. I try to stay positive, even while bad things are happening; not just in lotto but in all life situations. But in lotto, I have times where my mind says it's not going to happen this week I have to force that thought out of my head and consciously repeat i can happen, it can happen I try to believe in positive thinking and the laws of attraction. Bad things are guaranteed to happen. And I agree you can't just have a life exactly like you want just because you're always positive (cant be pro athlete, cant be astronaut, cant be jackpot winner, etc), but the odds of these things happening increase when bad things happen and you persevere through them because you were thinking positive

Positive thinking can't hurt, but it must be kept within reality.

No one should clean out a savings account or blow a paycheck on a lottery drawing because they're positive they're going to hit a jackpot.

I have to agree with pac on this one.

Several years ago I was in a casino and a slot machine ate a twenty dollar bill of mine and I had to wait quite awhile for someone to come open the machine and give my twenty back.So long that I was starting to get mad.After I got my twenty back,I moved to the next machine.On the second pull I hit doubles on all three wheels for a pretty signifacant progressive jackpot.If I could hit a jackpot every time I'm mad,I'd stay mad all the time
