No, actually, they are beatles that look like ladybugs. My old house use to be swarmed by them every spring., especially on a sunny day. We had a bug guy come out and this is what he told us. It was pretty common in the area. (TN) True ladybugs are only red.

Is there a such thing an orange ladybug?

I was mowing and these bugs that resemble ladybugs were flying everywhere. They were orange though.
