A speakeasy is a Prohibition-era term for a place where people broke the law by drinking illegally. So naturally when I see the comparison to a speak easy it sounds like you're saying that LP is a place where people gamble illegally, which is the opposite of what I represent. (And apparently the opposite of what you're trying to say.)

When I say speak easy I mean there isn't the chatter about online play that there used to be prior to the new gambling law going into effect.

And, yes, I see what you mean about the echo... sorta...

I don't know what the speak easy approach means.

At this point I do not encourage people to play the lottery online if they live in the USA. Period.

If you check the Contact Us page and follow the prompts to playing online, you will see that message echoed there.

Once the 'user' end of the law is enacted, all bets are off, though. I'm not sure when that will happen or if it will ever happen.

Lottery Post seems to have taken a speak easy approach to the new law.

Maybe Todd can give us his take on what are the rights of the online gambling user
