Thanks!

Even the credit and housing slump that have affected the nation s economy have not weighed down on Brad s success, as he says his investments remain surprisingly profitable.

Good for him. I actually hope he makes it to billionaire . Not that the world needs one more of those, but it'd be nice to see him reach his goal.

UGH! Once again just a little too late in my updating to edit successfully. _

As the article also mentions that he had been charged with attempted murder a couple months earlier from an incident where Ralph Stebbins stabbed (hmmm a Stebbins stabbin) his daughter's boyfriend. Here's another story to follow that up from 2007.

http://www.countypress.com/stories/021807/loc_20070218002.shtml

And another Stebbins related story from earlier this year and an editorial about it... [ More ]

Dammit, I was too late by a few seconds to add this 2007 story/interview with Brad Duke:

http://money.cnn.com/2007/02/20/magazines/fortune/lottery_winnings.fortune/index.htm

Oh, I forgot and just saw it again that Ralph Stebbins, who won the $208 million Mega Millions jackpot along with his wife in 2005 died of a heart attack about a year and a half later at 43.

http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/16370131

There have been three 100+ million lottery winners, if they all took a lump sum that'd leave maybe one of them and then after taxes, none of them. Dunno what they've done since because I don't believe any of them have been heard from after winning. The only person I know of with a goal of reaching a billion dollars is Brad Duke from Idaho who won a $220M Powerball jackpot three years ago that after taking the lump sum and taxes was well under 100 million but his total wealth has gone over that.... [ More ]
