Losers come up with plenty of reasons why they lost but many winners believe their winnings was a blessing from heaven and say so. Who are you going to believe?

As far as a bunch of people winning the same lottery jackpot, that has happened. Years ago I read of over a hundred people winning the California lottery and a couple of years ago a large group of people all over the country matched 5+0 in PowerBall when they all played the same numbers from some fortune cookies. And don't forget abou... [ More ]

I think that's been proven time after time to be the case.

We know they are going to draw 5 numbers plus a power or mega ball number so there is a real chance one our tickets winning. But when we compare those 5 chances to the 1 in 36.61 or 1 in 40 chance of winning anything and one chance compared to 146 or 175 million possible combinations that real chance of winning... [ More ]

Very true, this is another topic that kind of reminds me of Bruce Almighty. If there's a God and God really did have a sense of humor s/he'd let a thousands win a jackpot at the same time. That would be quite a amusing. I know it's not out of the realm of reality for several people to win a jackpot, to where the amount won is split so much that one couldn't help but feel a little disappointed but that's just how things can be screwy sometimes.

If there really is a divine intervention on who wins jackpots, why don't we see 50 people split a $100 million or never see a jackpot over $16 million? Does the average person really need to win over $10 million to live comfortably for the rest of their lives no matter how old they are?

Luck is another force that was mentioned but when somebody buys 2 QPs, are they lucky if they matched five numbers or unlucky because the missed the Powerball or Mega ball? We all know about the David Edwards story. When he won, seems like everyone not only found out who won, but every little part of his past it seems. If I were to have Fred Topous' background, and won the JP, I would tell no one. I would just be scared of the hate mail and such. His friends said they cleaned him out playing poker that Friday he won and he went on a beer run or whatever when he bought the ticket.

It's very funny and also incredibly egotistical that people actually think something somewhere actually cares about us, watching our every move, doling out good fortune and methodically calculates revenge upon us when we do something wrong. I can't believe people are still gullible to believe that way. If there is something that controlls the universe i'm sure it has much bigger problems to worry about than if jane doe is going to win the lottery. but hey that's just my opinion.... [ More ]

Gosh this sounds almost like a confession. I know what i am doing might not be right but i do it anyway.

Sounds like you're feeling guilty about buying lottery tickets. Don't be surprised if you get a PM or e-mail from someone you don't know who agrees with you that suggests you start spending your lottery money during good by helping others(mainly them). I've never felt guilty about buying lottery tickets and I've gotten such messages.

I think guilt leads to a lot of problems lottery winners have, so don't feel guilty if you win! I could go on a rant but I won't. If it makes to feel better by all means give it away, but I doubt it'd make you feel any better in the long term. Instead of giving 10% to a church that doesn't likely need it, do the donating yourself and without the help of other organizations that will likely pocket 99% of it under the guise of expenses .

If someone answers NO that means God isn't omnipresent and omnipotent, since He is supposed to be everywhere.
